It wasn't the prettiest of seaside places but the beaches were lovely. For families with young children there was loads to do. There were nice gardens along the seafront. The shops were everything you would expect in a town. We liked the Princes theatre as it wasn't too big. We had a lovely meal at smugglers cove restaurant, we had the carvery and the turkey was superb. There are plenty of cafes and places to eat..

Clacton can be visited at any time of the year. It has all the amenities for a beachfront short or long term break. You must be prepared for everything, i.e noise, crowds, kids enjoying the rides. Also some great restaurants and ice cream shops.

The sea front is well kept.Garden of remembrance beautiful with flower beds.
Excellent pier with plenty of rides and entertainment for all.fishing from the pier

This was my first trip to Clacton-on-sea and I had a lovely time. Very impressed with the town and area. Beautiful gardens and quiet places by the sea to relax, aswell as high street shops and the activities on the pier and fun park too. Already planning my next trip for a few weeks time 😀

We went just for the beach 🏖️ and to get a bus to Walton on the naze to have pie & mash and visit the naze tower just a two day break which was enough we had a lovely meal in the new restaurant on the beach in clacton salt by the sea love the pier always enjoy the frothy coffee ☕️

The beach was beautiful so calm and clean great family atmosphere , great live music and lovely food stalls and restaurants....could not believe how low prices are in Clacton compared to any seaside resort in Esses we have been. Amazing....Can't wait to go back soon. ❤❤❤
The room was clean, decorated nicely. Plenty of free parking, free WiFi. The lady at the check in desk was friendly and approachable. The best part was how quiet the hotel was. Definitely better value than the hotels I have stayed near the seafront due to the free parking and WiFi. I felt relaxed there.
We had a lovely stay at the OYO Pier Head Hotel in Clacton-On-Sea. Becky the Manager made us very welcome, the hotel was clean had a lovely atmosphere and breakfast was good. We would stay there again.
Lovely caravan, was clean and had a spacious sitting area. The back was facing the fields so was in a very good location in the Holiday park. 10min driver from clacton on sea pier, very good location.
