We were there end of November so most things were shut.
We went to the cinema while there which was a bargain!!! £10.90 for 2 tickets!
Some arcades open
We have been many times in the summer and just keep on going back!
We ate in weather's weatherspoons ad it's always cheap and cheerful although the portion size always means hubby eats 2 dinners in there!

It wasn't the prettiest of seaside places but the beaches were lovely. For families with young children there was loads to do. There were nice gardens along the seafront. The shops were everything you would expect in a town. We liked the Princes theatre as it wasn't too big. We had a lovely meal at smugglers cove restaurant, we had the carvery and the turkey was superb. There are plenty of cafes and places to eat..

Clacton can be visited at any time of the year.
Clacton can be visited at any time of the year. It has all the amenities for a beachfront short or long term break. You must be prepared for everything, i.e noise, crowds, kids enjoying the rides. Also some great restaurants and ice cream shops.

I stayed in the Princess room with a beautiful sea view via two sets of double doors leading to a private balcony. The room was spacious, clean and had everything I needed for my stay. I enjoyed a delicious evening meal and breakfast served downstairs in My Fat Greek restaurant, with great customer service. There is a convenient car park behind the hotel in easy reach, you will need to pay for at the time of parking. Really lovely hotel, I will definitely come stay again.
What a lovely venue. I travelled with my 10 and 12 year old and we absolutely loved Viva Guest House. They were so welcoming, knew my name straight away and learned the kids really quickly. Lovely room with a double and single bed, gorgeous garden where we had our choice of breakfasts. We've stayed in a well known, mid range hotel before and my kids definitely felt Viva was much better. We'll definitely stay again when we visit Clacton.
The location was excellent. It was just outside of Clacton it was quiet but close enough to walk into Clacton or there was a bus just outside the hotel. The beach was directly opposite the hotel so easy for taking a break from the sunbathing for beverages/light refreshments from the hotel. A large car park is adjacent and free for guests.
It is central to Clacton-on-Sea. You can see the pier from the end of the corridor. You are near shops restaurants and bars. There was no breakfast in the hotel but at least 4 nearby restaurants do breakfast.
Nothing to do with the rental accommodation
Liked being in Clacton on sea, as it’s a favourite of the whole family, as we visit several times a year as it has special memories for us
