9 Gunfleet court, hotel in Clacton-on-Sea

9 Gunfleet court is located in Clacton-on-Sea, 17 km from Alresford, 27 km from Colchester Castle, as well as 30 km from Flatford. This beachfront property offers access to a patio and free WiFi.

It's like a hidden Gem. Access to the property is to the rear and sets your senses wondering. Once inside it was super clean and really well equipped, with comfortable seating and beds. In a quiet area and a sea view from the balcony you soon feel at home. Across the road is the beach and the sea. Its far enough up the front to be quiet and the beach is lovely and full of little bays which gather shells. Its close enough though for a healthy walk down into the town.

We liked the cleaniness and tidiness. There was a sweet aroma in the caravan which was a plus. The caravan has board games which we played. Nice comfy beds were there. Enough blankets and duets for the family.

I prefer clacton -on-sea to Brighton.

I prefer clacton -on-sea to Brighton. It’s on a smaller scale which makes it more personal. The hotel prices are much better value too. The sand is so soft and clean. The fun park is perfect for kids. Handy shops selling buckets , spades and sweet treats. The high street has the normal range of shops which is really great if you need a bank or a cheeky McDonald’s. We will be returning in August.

The guest house is set back in a street away from the front but not far from the pier and promenade, lots to see and do on the pier and inside for families. there is a bit of site seeing in and around the town plus along the promenade, you can either get an open top bus tour (hop on hop off) or get the land train to travel along the promenade. There are a variety of sunken gardens plus a war memorial along the promenade. Plenty of local fish n chip shops as well as pubs and restaurants.

Clacton is a great place to visit . Plenty to do with the pier , big wheel and inside golf , rides and amusements. Lovely gardens along the seafront . Beautiful beaches . Nice restaurant over looking the sea , Martello Lounge. We are at Prezzos , and could see the sea from our table . Free fireworks on certain nights throughout the year . Fantastic airshow in august which is also free.

although I was only there for a short time I enjoyed my stay. the town was close to my hotel and it was clean and tidy. there is plenty to do if you have children. I had a meal at the local chip shop which I believe was called geo on the main high ST. very good food and service. I visited some shops and the staff in the shops where in good spirits and helped the customers.

We just wanted a couple of quiet nights away, For a family with young children who are on a budget it’s a good way to get away for a few days. Weather plays a big part but the beach isn’t bad, the pier and amusements can easily kill a rainy afternoon plenty of places to eat and drink Fairly cheap and basic seaside town but it’ll keep the kids happy

    I think Clacton-on-Sea is a lovely town.

I think Clacton-on-Sea is a lovely town. The garden walk at the seafront is beautiful any time of the year; there are plenty of seats. There are loads of reasonable restaurants in Clacton and lots of activities for children. There is a very good Wetherspoon pub near the seafront. A good range of shops.

The room was great, clean and comfortable and I had a good nights rest. The breakfast was excellent and the selection was very good. The breakfast arrived piping hot and well cooked and I was very pleased with the whole visit from checking in to checking out. I would use the Grosvenor Hotel again when I need to stay next in Clacton on Sea.
