I've stayed in quite a few hotels in Blackpool including the Big Blue, Sheraton, Imperial, Best Western, Premier Inn and the Doric and this is my favourite. Why? it's brilliant value for money, the rooms were exceptionally clean, food was great and the staff could not do enough for you. The lift to the rooms is a little quirky but that is what you get with an old building.
It has a real homely feel and even though it's out of the way at the South Shore the tram stops right outside.
If you want an evening meal the bar/restaurant serves great food.
I decided to book and extra night and had to move rooms. Both of my rooms were to the same high standard.
What's important to me is a great nights sleep, good breakfast and helpful staff and all at the fabulous price. This has it all.

A favored vaction spot since the Victorian era, Blackpool is a traditional English seaside town. Amusement arcades and crazy golf courses line the promenade and dotted between them are plenty of places to pick up fresh fish ‘n’ chips and Blackpool rock.
On the 5-mile sandy beach, children can enjoy Punch and Judy shows and donkey rides. Old-fashioned entertainment at its best. At the other end of the scale is the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a fairground complex comprising a variety of rides, including The Big One - once the world’s tallest and steepest rollercoaster. They actually had to get permission from nearby Blackpool Airport to erect it!
More seaside pursuits are on the town’s 3 piers, one of which is Grade II listed. However, the most recognizable landmark is the Blackpool Tower which houses a circus, 4D cinema and a world-renowned ballroom, to name a few. Modeled on the Eiffel Tower, it is spectacularly lit during the annual Blackpool Illuminations, when the whole town is bathed in bright lights. The trams plying the prom are also lit. Look out for the one shaped like a ship.
A popular bachelor and bachelorette destination, Blackpool has accommodations ranging from North Shore hotels to South Shore B&Bs - see Booking.com for the best choice.

My husband and l had a great weekend , wheather was good , our hotel situated near the tower so was not far from all amenties, the Saturday night was very busy, most of drinking bars were full, had to queue if you wanted to get into your favorite, plus some of the bars were charging over the top prices, but overall a good experience0

Blackpool is a great place to visit and we really enjoyed the circus.
The problem is it gets too packed during the illuminations when the kids are off school. I recommend if going to choose your dates to avoid school holidays if you can.

We love Blackpool as a family, and visit once or twice a year. Loads to do with the children, from arcades, to shows, to aquariums, mini golf the list is endless. It has something for everyone. We have been taking my son who is now nearly 12, since he was three every year and can't get enough, even loves it more than Eurodisney. Transport is great with the trams, and also buses and def worth getting a multi pass if staying more than a day as it pays for itself. loads of places to eat for everyone's budget.

The Location of The Gurkha Hotel was perfect, it was close to all things needed and not far from seafront. The room was amazing and huge and very very clean. The staff were helpful and very kind. Our remote was not working for the tv so they replaced the whole tv as there was an issue. We had an evening meal at The Gurkha Hotel and that was one of the best meals whilst in Blackpool, well worth the money and the food was amazing.
Best Hotel I've stayed in at Blackpool, me and my family go at least twice a year so weve stayed in quite a few. Hotel was lovely and clean, breakfast was lovely and staff were also very kind and welcoming. 100% recommend this hotel. I'll definitely be using it again.
Amazing hotel, made to feel like you are part of the family, place is spotless, rooms comfortable, brilliant bar (chilled at night in our PJs drinking) beautiful view, breakfast was superb, best hotel in Blackpool by far.
They accommodated us when we were left stranded in Blackpool when our original hotel was unfit to stay in. Staff were helpful and found us a room and helped with parking and getting to the room.
