The location was excellent--in the middle of lots of places to eat, right next to Omicho market, and not far from Kanazawa Castle Park and all the sites around it. The room was just the right size and extremely quiet--we never heard neighbors or noise from the hall. The room was clean and modern and comfortable. We had breakfast with our room rate; the food was very good, there was a good variety, and it was really convenient. We loved our stay at the Square Hotel Kanazawa!

Good location - 10 minute walk from Kanazawa station and 5 minute walk to omicho market. Free coffee in the morning and staff are friendly and helpful. They give you a firm pillow and a soft pillow. There was a sofa in the room as well and what we thought was an ottoman turned out to be a foot massager.

Kanazawa was a great choice for my husband and I after big cities such as Kyoto and Osaka. We could not find decent accommodation in Tokyo, so we decided to skip it and hop on a train to Kanazawa.
It was great decision as the city is gorgeous and quite posh. The gardens and the castle were breathtaking.
I also took a workshop with the gold leaf artisans and had a really nice time decorating a jewellery box.
Another lovely day was to the village of Shirakawago - UNESCO world heritage site.
All in all, 4 nights in Kanazawa just flew by and we had lovely time and bought beautiful souvenirs.

The castle is definitely worth a visit, including the museum indoors and the night time light up. The Kenrokuen Park is very good too and the lanes with various cafes.
It is easy to get around the town by walking or bus and there are interesting places to visit by train nearby, such as Mikawa.

Overall experience was good, but public transport stops before shops closure. Day ticket is really day ticket and doesn't cover evening; as the loop bus stop at 18:00. This is really inconvenient and limited my sight seeing window/range.

I love Kanazawa as it is not a large city however, has many interesting sights and activities available to visitors. Many lovely shrines, the rebuilt castle & stunning Kenrokuen Gardens are only the beginning. The historic Samurai and Geisha areas are well worth visiting.
Travel connections to Kanazawa are very good and the train station has great facilities and also has the bus station behind it to make travel easier.

This is my second review of Hotel Pacific, Kanazawa. I am not going to repeat what I said previously, but just say that I returned to Kanazawa for another night just to stay at this hotel one more time before returning to the UK. Why? Because the staff are amazing. In the future, when I think about my holiday in Japan, I will always remember the friendship of the Hotel Pacific staff.Yes, I would truly say that they have become friends in just three days. You can't ask for more than that.
Great hotel with hot springs in the center of Kanazawa. A very classy and stylish hotel in modern Japanese style with spacious rooms! Breakfast was very good and the restaurant very pretty. The staff was always organized and helpful. There is also a very small fitness room and I had a great view from my window
One of my favourite hotels of the trip, the Mitsui Garden Hotel was situated in close proximity to Omicho market and only a quick bus ride to Kanazawa Station and Kenrokuen Garden. Great Japanese bathing facilities and a lovely room. Would definitely stay again next time I travel to Kanazawa.
This hotel is absolutely gorgeous! This was a treat hotel for our trip in Japan and it did not disappoint, the room was huge, the staff were super friendly and helpful, the breakfast was incredible and it’s in a great location to explore the amazing city of Kanazawa!!
Right beside Kanazawa station.
Very profession staff, bringing together the expectations of an international hotel chain and Japanese hospitality. Classy decor. Well furnished.
