The lodge is situated very close to the main town, walking distance to most shops and the Livingstone Museum. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. The lodge is kept tidy and clean, the surrounding trees and plants give a peaceful feeling. Zambia is experiencing a lot of power cuts but I hardly noticed when I was at the lodge because there's solar power that powers the lights and plugs when there are power cuts.

Livingstone is a nice city, about 10 km from the Victoria Falls. A tourist city. That's important to know. Nothing here is cheap. Everxbody want to sell something.
It's the 1. week of November, the Falls are dry. It is hot 36 degrees.

The town was clean and not very busy.
The town was clean and not very busy.
A relaxed atmosphere with lots of bird life and nature reserve adjacent to the town.
My favorite was the micro flight around Victoria falls.
My day trip to Botswana Chobe river cruise & safari.
Not visibility of public transport.
Not spending a week but rather perhaps 4 days.

The Livingstone museum should not be missed - about so much more than David Livingstone (although it has a fascinating archive of his original letters which you can pull out at read).
The Curio market has a good range of souvenirs, big and small, and I did not find the stallholders too pushy. Their prices seemed very fair.
I had excellent coffee at Cafe au Lait!
All these were within less than 10 minutes walk on the main street. As a single female traveller I didn't feel unsafe in any way during the day - I didn't go out after dark, but hotels will always organise taxis if you are unsure, and most attractions collect you from your hotel or lodge.
I had visited the Falls from the other side, so didn't do this again. It isn't a particularly attractive town in itself, but it was an interesting 2 night stay.

Livingstone town is a bit raw, but not unsafe.
Livingstone town is a bit raw, but not unsafe. The classic components - Victoria Falls (you really do not need a guide just call a local taxi - avoid a guy called Bison! The park with Rhino tour, sunset tour - we used the African Queen/Princess and it was excellent. More than adequate snacks and unlimited drinks. The crew were exceptional. We ate at our hotel - the Victoria Falls Waterfront as it was so good and great value. Didn’t need to consider anywhere else. Amazing pizzas.

Friendly and safe town. Easy to get around.
Friendly and safe town. Easy to get around. Avoid being ripped off by taxi drivers. The falls are a sight to behold, it was majestic. Zambesi cruise is a to do activity, have dinner in one of the restaurants afterwards. Instead of buying at the town market, take a trip to Mukuni village for affordable souvenirs to take home.

Lovely quaint little town, friendly people and clean.
Lovely quaint little town, friendly people and clean. Mosquitoes weren't too much of an issue. We walked the whole length of the town in one day, enjoying the sights and sounds. Very USD focused though, so plan accordingly.

Fantastic 4 night stay at the Aha David Livingstone safari lodge & spa, we were upgraded to a suite from a standard room.
The Staff are all amazing, they went above beyond expectations, “Jacqueline”was super throughout our stay,
all staff tended to our every need, always friendly and smiling, would recommend small tips as they are much appreciated, after covid losses.
we also booked a sunset cruise which was fabulous, we saw hippos and lots of other wildlife!
breakfast and evening food was as delicious.
The location is fantastic. So close to the falls & free unlimited entry. The staff are very friendly & helpful. Loved the animals wandering around the hotel grounds. Livingstone Adventures tour desk onsite makes it very easy to book activities. Highly recommend the game drive/rhino walk & the Elephant Cafe. Once in a lifetime experience.
Zambian hospitality at its best! Ken and the team at Ngoma Zanga Lodge looked after all our needs, including various fun activities. The perfect home away from home to explore Livingston from. We will be back!
The hotel is fantastically located right in the centre of Livingstone, and has a lovely garden/swimming pool area and nice bar/breakfast terrace. The homemade pizzas are good too.
