The gardens were beautiful and lovely views of Mount. Fuji on a clear day. Onsen was great and well stocked with amenities. Really appreciated laundry facilities. Single unit washer and dryer adds soap automatically to load well for average ¥500 per load.
Breakfast and dinner were both delicious and beautiful. Stayed for 2 nights and would definitely stay here again in the future.

Having onsens for our use, was terrific. The staff went to a lot of trouble with the meals. There was a huge variety of traditional Japanese food. It was very different from the food we were used to but it was great to try so many other things. The staff were fantastic. They organised to send our luggage to our next hotel and made phone calls to help us with taxis and ensure we got a good price. We had to check out a day early due to travel difficulties and they gave us a 50% refund for the last day, even though we didn't expect it because we had booked through a 3rd party app.

Hakone is a beautiful area with tons of opportunities to appreciate nature and see landmarks. The Hakone free pass is a must-have; being able to seamlessly travel between spots and use trains, buses, cable cars, and more without juggling various payment methods was great. I spent 3 days in Hakone, and the pass was well worth the price. I was able to complete the famed "round course" as well as hop between a few specific areas of interest that I wanted to spend more time in. And as always, the nearest konbini is just a few steps away!

Beautiful place but you really need a car!
Beautiful place but you really need a car! The lines for the local bus were very long and the windy mountain roads can make it a little dangerous to walk.
Hakone is beautiful - we could have stayed longer.

If you love mountain views and onsen, you should pay a visit. I also got to run in the area. The place is a hidden gem! Much more enjoyable for us than Tokyo, my husband and I love the more chilly weather and less crowded sites.

The stuff could not help us at all with questions regarding what and how to see as if they were tourists themselves. They were not flexible-ask us to move from one room to another and were not flexible to keep us in the same room. At the end because a mistake they did they let us stay in the room but this was not from a good will but from no other choice for them. The hotel itself is very nice . You can find here ahot spreang indoor and outdoor. The indoor pool has excately the right temprature. The design is beautifull.

Hakone is a beautiful town nestled in the mountains.
Hakone is a beautiful town nestled in the mountains. It's a peaceful respite from the busyness of the large cities with great walking/hiking trails, fishing should you desire, onsen, museums and other sightseeing. As it's a smaller town it would be helpful to know that things close early. Think 5 or 6pm so if staying in the area you are likely to be making your own dinner as well as entertaining yourself. Stopping by a grocery store on your way in to get supplies would be nice to know beforehand as the local shops are limited, but you can make do. Most accomodation comes with a full kitchen so cooking for yourself and having down town is actually pleasant after a day out exploring. We enjoyed the lake cruise and cable cars as well as some walking through the woods. Overall a peaceful place.

We travelled in August so did not want to do the hike or cable car as it was hot, because of this the Freepass was cheaper (Ashinoko Pass). Instead we arrived early, took the cruise then checked in. Staying 1 night for this level of activity felt the right amount of time, otherwise 2 nights might be better.
very nice and interesting experience of traditional Japanese bedding, meal and onsen. good value for the price! The position is excellent if you are coming to hakone for 1 night because the hotel is 5mins walking distance to the pirate ship and 10 mins to the temple. also the bedroom is very comfortable tho sleeping on the floor, very warm and quite hotel that you won’t see other customers often in the lift. and I can enjoy the onsen by myself at 9pm!
Loved this place. It was nice because it felt like somewhere that native Japanese people actually go for vacation. I was the only foreigner in the hotel while I was there. The onsen are top notch and so relaxing. Plus they provide you with a super comfy kimono to wear around the hotel which felt awesome. Also, there was a vending machine near my room that served beer. 10/10
Everything was great. During our trip to Japan we stayed in 6 different hotels. Hakone tent was not the most luxurious but it was surely the best of all! We were welcomed very friendly by the staff. Managed to store luggage before and after check in. Room was big and super clean. Had a great sleep on the futon beds. The onsen (private use) was also a great experience.
Everything was great, we had an inroom onsen it was fantastic and so was the personnel.
The facilities were very clean and convenient.
The japanese breakfast was also amazing
Also It's right next to the Hakone Yomoto train station.
I recommend to stay in this hotel when visiting Hakone!
Hakone village is a great stop for travellers interested in Mt Fuji region. Hotel is in a pleasant neighbourhood with wonderful surprises nearby. There are places to eat and explore within the proximity of the hotel. this was our first Onsen experience in Japan and it was great.
