Visited at the end of a tour around Sri Lanka. We had a really nice cabin with a really comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. Since we both need to eat gluten free, the manager and chef took really good care of us, serving us safe and very tasty food. The area is really quiet at night and the pool is nice as well.
Much nicer than staying in negombo in my opinion.

Really friendly staff, really clean room and bathroom. Bed was good, great shower, AC and WiFi. Good breakfast! Great location: beach, stores, restaurants and ATMs just a couple of minutes walk away. Also they have a great restaurant Centella Bistro just a 10min walk from hotel. I recommend you visit there also, we had great bruschetta and pizza!

Easy 5 stars for service. Every staff member was so helpful, friendly, and genuine. Went above and beyond for us. Special mention to Heshan, who was super helpful and very fun to chat to.
Facilities: whatever you need in a good hotel. Tea and coffee facilities in the room, safe, refrigerator, TV with around 40 channels in a variety of channels. We got a king size bed that could easily sleep 3, and was very comfortable.
Everything was perfectly clean. The bathroom was gleaming! Sheets smelled good and freshly laundered.
We opted for the buffet breakfast. Good variety, good taste. The restaurant is outdoor seating, right by the pool, which was a nice experience. There is a bar and lounge seating there as well.
Loved the decor and style of the place. So charming, so lovely. Our room had high ceilings, which was wonderful!

I had an ocean view room. It overlooked the pool and coconut palm trees, followed by the beach and the ocean.
The staff is all on board for making your stay a pleasant one.
The breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all very good. Sometimes, you just want to settle in and truly relax. This is the place to do this.
Always hot water and good water pressure. AC and ceiling fab for your comfort. Room serviced every day. Always tip your your cleaner, you need the karma.

The Manager of the hotel and his staff (including 3 dogs and a cat) are above any praise. If you seek for a well organized place to rest without problems do come to Puetz Travels Beach Resort. Mr. Marcus will make your trip a real holyday. Even wild crocodiles that live in the nearby river dream to move to the magic canals of Puetz Travels Beach Resort. I wish i were among the lucky ones.

Just a lovely resort, just along the river and on very green grounds! The staff were super friendly and helpful and kindly gave us an upgrade and the chalets were simply gorgeous and had very fancy toilets. We rented brand new bicycles from the hotel and cycled out to the little fishing villages of the surrounding beaches and out to see the tile factories. The resort offers different treatments and yoga sessions.
I last visited in 2016. The hotel has been acquired by new owners and we were pleasantly surprised with how they have tried to keep up the unique atmosphere the hotel provides. Brilliant place to start or end your time in Sri Lanka as so close to the airport. Excellent scenery and tranquil surroundings. Very pleasant staff and delicious food.
We used this hotel as a one night stop off when we arrived before travelling around Sri Lanka. The location is remote, but that didn't bother us as we only stayed at the hotel.
The pool was big and clean, whilst the room was really comfy.
Spacious bungalows, very nice swimming pool and seatings, big garden, 10m from the beach. Friendly and helpful staff. Peaceful and quiet surroundings. Good start or ending of your trip in Sri Lanka.
