A really lovely town. We only stayed two nights, but I wish we had been able to stay for another couple of nights. Easy to walk around the town and lots to do there. I recommend visiting the chocolate museum and eating out on Casa de los Venados. A highlight was a joining a free walking tour on 'Heroic Valladolid' with Joel. And I highly recommend having breakfast at Carolin Cacao Café - best breakfast we had on our whole trip.

We really enjoyed our stay in Valladolid and it was a great decision to break up our stay along the coast with a few nights there as a base for a trip to Chichen Itza. Hotel el Meson de Marques was excellent and we enjoyed the shops and restaurants around town, as well as a swim (and some tombstoning) at the Cenote Zaci which was only a 10 minute walk.

Valladolid is a small city that has a big heart, the Yucatan people are very hospitable and the food options are amazing. The food is amazing and is very safe. I recommend eating at Naino the restaurant hotel and also at El Paladar del Cura. Try the cochinita pibil (pulled pork with achiote condiments) anywhere you will love it.

What a great city.
What a great city. So much history & the locals are so friendly. I think it gets a bit overlooked as a stop over destination & prefer days trips from Cancun and the coast but it is well worth at least an overnight stay if you have the time.

It's an incredible place.
It's an incredible place. I wasn't expecting it to be this good. Colonial architecture is amazing, you never know what contains a closed door. People are helpfull and in general it was a safe place to stay and walk around.

A great food town.
A great food town. Everything form $1.50 street tacos to fine dining.
Over a two week period we only had 1 bad meal.
We suggest skipping the restaurants around the main square. Expensive and not the best food in the city.
Everything within walking distance. Interesting museums, local market and a bee farm.

It is not the best place to stay in Valladolid, we felt a bit duped here. Old hotel, bad status of the room, the table drawers would just fall off if you open. It was below average to our expectations. There were enough cafes and restaurants nearby, and the location was the only reason we continued to stay there. I think the standards are very different for us. The pictures are realllly misleading although the staff was very sweet!
Very cute boutique hotel in one of the prettiest streets in Valladolid. The staff were super friendly. Rooms are clean and spacious and have hammocks which we loved. The boutique and the coffee shop that are part of the hotel are great too (good coffee and purchased a few lovely dresses). Shame we only stayed for one night, would recommend as very reasonably priced too.
Fantastic Hotel in the heart of Yucatan. The hotel is beautiful and has a laid back spa feel with a warm and attentive staff. Valladolid is a very busy town, but the hotel is an oasis and the breakfast is really delicious. We looked forward to coming back to our room both nights we stayed, and by the way the pools are also lovely. Can't wait to return!
Property was excellent. Travelled there for my honeymoon. It was a very well kept, cute boutique hotel with an eco friendly jungle vibe. love the saline water cave. really recommended for couples.
The hotel is located in quiet area only 10min walk from Valladolid sign and all the restaurants. Breakfast was very tasty, room service was on point and staff was very helpful.
