We were there for a junior football tournament so not seen much of Hamilton this trip, Generally only go to Hamilton for an event and not spend much time in the town except for shopping at the Base in Te Rapa.

We went for a sports event so a single purpose overnight stay only. The in-line hockey rink was well attended. Sadly my husband had a fall from the bleachers as the step heights are quite high with no safety rail across the front. No comfortable seating available so we took cushions to sit on.

I was there for a sporting tournament - Hamilton is easy to navigate with a car.
We stayed in Frankton and although it was industrial - there was plenty of good eating options, would recommend the Helm bar and restaurant and the local Speights both had excellent food and service.
Hamilton Gardens was a good way to spend an afternoon in between watching games.

Hamilton is where our major hospital is and where we need to travel to for treatments and appointments. Home is almost 3 hours away, so good to stay a night.
There is plenty to do if you are not stuck at the hospital though.

It was great, We used Hamilton as a base and then drove out to other close towns to explore the areas.
The gardens are beautifull and teh food is pretty good too.
Its a city that you need a car to get around in.
The hosts were great at communicating before we arrived and sent us great instructions. The hosts answered all our questions promptly and even lent us a spade for the hot water beach in Kawhia.
Everything was in the property that we needed. There was a washing machine and tumble dryer that was a real plus.
Goodies on arrival were nice and welcoming. Nice to have two complete bathrooms with two bedrooms. Mum and dad took the ensuite!
Located in the country and quiet, but just off the road with quick access to Hamilton.
We liked that our room had a full cleaning service when we came back from an exhausting seminar and to see our room done every day was great. I hope they pay their cleaners well. We always try to book into the VR hotel when we have seminars in Hamilton, Every place we went to was within walking distance, Casino, restaurants, cafes, shopping malls, and the library. Our room was as expected clean, very spacious and warmed.
Owners were friendly and excellent room, facilities, breakfast was exceptional 👌 Better than a hotel accommodation. Affordable price and worth every dollar. They make all there guests have a 5 Star 🌟 experience. Would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation. This is my good too place for Hamilton 👍
