Set in a quiet, rural location but still within a very short drive of Sarlat town centre. The hotel was our family's base from which to explore the area & we found it ideally placed with the main roads accessible within a few minutes drive.
All parts of the hotel were incredibly clean & well maintained. Strong and reliable WiFi with good mobile phone reception. Breakfast was excellent & well worth paying the extra for. The owners were very helpful & responded immediately to any requests we made.
We would certainly recommend this hotel to others and would definitely return for a further stay.

This comment is more of an amusing note than any criticism. By car it's probably a 10 minute steep drive winding along a small road through residential properties, until you reach the hotels long gravel drive which then opens up to a beautiful sight of nice lawns and the Hotel itself.
However, if we had no SatNav I can't imagine we would ever of found this gem.
We were soon advsed by the lovely owners there was a short-cut by foot to the town 8-10 mins. Such relief !!

Sarlat is very touristy, but that doesn’t detract from the beautiful town. We enjoyed wandering about the pretty old streets and admiring the rooftops and ancient walls. We arrived on market day which was very busy but fun and will return on a quiet day to see it all again.

Overall, the region was beautiful and there are many lovely towns to visit and much history in the area. Sarlat has a recently updated town square that is quite beautiful. Getting around the town itself is typical of a small French town. Walking is best! I was underwhelmed with the restaurants and the shops. Some areas of the town feel rundown.

It’s such a beautiful city and it has wonderful things to explore within the walls. The whole region around Sarlat is beautiful. Sarlat is the perfect place to rest after a long day exploring other small towns or caves in this gorgeous region. We could have spent two weeks here easily. Take full advantage of the markets on Wednesday and Saturday in Sarlat to get amazing food, and of course, eat at a restaurant and enjoy some amazing wine.

Charming old town, narrow streets, lots of shops, many, many selling local produce, foie gras, etc. Centrally located to visit the highlights of the Dordogne. Many places to dine, seemingly pretty much the same menus everywhere except in a couple of higher end restaurants. It is hilly. Parking very hard, everywhere is payant, get the APP.

Excellent breakfast, the food was really good with a wide choice and the room was spotless with tables cleaned thoroughly between guests. Our room could have been a little bigger but the bed was large and comfortable and the room and facilities were modern and spotless. The hotel location is superb, just a short walk to the medieval centre of Sarlat.
the small hotel was perfect for the free car park and for visiting the medieval centre of Sarlat. It was spotlessly clean and had everything needed for a wonderful stay. The hosts, Astrid and Gerhard were so welcoming and helpful. I would 100% recommend this hotel.
Having a car, the location was good. Plenty of parking space at accommodation.
When we had a small issue the host was more than accommodating and helpful. Very pleasant.
The bathroom was clean. (Something we struggled finding around france).
