Location is great. The bed is really comfortable. Wifi strong. Shower has good water pressure and good size. A/C makes room very comfortable. Grounds beautiful. But, the most outstanding is the staff. I never got her name but the hostess is the most accommodating hotel person I think I've ever encountered. And the breakfast is a very good value.

Set in a quiet, rural location but still within a very short drive of Sarlat town centre. The hotel was our family's base from which to explore the area & we found it ideally placed with the main roads accessible within a few minutes drive.
All parts of the hotel were incredibly clean & well maintained. Strong and reliable WiFi with good mobile phone reception. Breakfast was excellent & well worth paying the extra for. The owners were very helpful & responded immediately to any requests we made.
We would certainly recommend this hotel to others and would definitely return for a further stay.

The hotel director, Christine, was absolutely incredible! She was so kind, spoke very good English, and had incredible knowledge of the area and great recommendations. We originally weren’t going to partake in breakfast because of a food allergy, but the hotel was able to handle it, and breakfast was one of our favorite parts of everyday. There is also a beautiful pool on site. The location by downtown Sarlat was great. It was so easy to access great restaurants and shops.

Sarlat is a vibrant city with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. The Saturday market is a must visit. There is plenty of international cuisine on offer if you don't care for the fois gras or canard, which are the main specialities of this region. Unless you're after a particular spot, there's no need to book as the choice is phenomenal.
After a day spent marvelling at the history of the place, Place de la Liberté is great for apéro and people watching!
Plenty of parking available - free during certain times, although free all day places less than 10 minutes from main centre.

Beautiful place, full of history.
Beautiful place, full of history. Our problem was being elderly we did
not want to hire a car. We went early September and did not realise
that a lot of the buses stop running or shorten their times. Taxis's
were difficult, no taxi rank and they are often busy.
There are some very good walking guides from the information bureau
so we were able to enjoy them.
Restaurant were everywhere, with scrumptious food.

I've been to Sarlat several times, but never stayed for so long. In summer it's very interesting and beautiful. Most of the tourism was French national tourism. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, street entertainers. There is a huge market on Saturdays (arrive before 9h) and a night market on Thursday evenings (17H-11H). We stayed just outside and it was ideal. Parking is free after 19h, although tricky to find. The city itself is full of medieval buildings (it has nearly 70 officially protected buildings) and is gorgeous to wander around. Highly recommended. It's also near dozens of beautiful villages, such as Domme or La roque-Gageac.

This is a fabulous hotel just a minute's walk from the main square of Sarlat. Our room was at the top in the eaves but it was very modern and roomy and had aircon (which was very welcome as it was hot in the room). The bed was very comfortable, nice clean bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities and quiet. We had reserved a car parking space with the hotel which was located about a 5 minute walk away but it was secure and you could only enter with a code so the car was very safe. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Awesome location in a beautiful stone building right in the market square of Sarlat-la-Canéda. Restaurants and historic attractions are right outside the window. This place had cooking facilities, good internet and a bonus was the washing machine. Open the double glazed windows to hear the buzz of people enjoying dinner etc or close them for complete silence. Absolutely perfect location!
This bed and breakfast was perfectly placed for the medieval town of Sarlat-la-Caneda and the rest of Dordogne. Alisa and Daniel were wonderful hosts and offered great suggestion on activities and restaurants. The breakfast was fabulous with a range of fresh fruits, yoghurt and the freshest croissants you’ve ever had.
Excellent location for walking into the centre of Sarlat but we were very pleased it was quiet and away from the crowds. Parking was good, a bit tight for a large car but plenty of availability. We enjoyed the breakfast and found the room comfortable with all we needed. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
