Perfect location for exploring Normandy … close to all of the sites we wanted to visit. We were warmly greeted by the owner on our arrival, who personally showed us around and made sure we were comfortable. We decided to eat dinner here and were treated to an excellent gastronomic meal. My only regret was having to leave the next day. The breakfast buffet was especially good – lots of home made dishes and good coffee. Our rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean and well-decorated. A real find!
Dinner at La Croix d'Or was absolutely outstanding. Excellent menu, good selection of wines and attentive service.
Great location for stopping off on the way south from Cherbourg and visiting near by Mont St Michel. An easy walk in the centre Avranches with off street parking is a bonus. Whilst I would say the room was average, the historical nature of the main part of the hotel and the superb food mean I would stay time and time again.
Perfect little studio in the town center, nicely decorated and with modern appliances. Very responsive host. Easily the best place I‘ve been in 2 weeks of changing accommodation every night (hotels, guest houses, B&B …).
