The cottage was located on a slight rise with a nice view. Cottage was roomy and clean.

Amazing staff, all very kind. Pekka was very accommodating as I let him know of our late arrival due to weather. Breakfast was tasty. The sauna right next to the lake is relaxing and gave us that opportunity to do a traditional Finnish ice swim. The rooms were clean and the floors were warm.

This was surprise! Something very different to experience. I slept in a "barn room" down on the other side of the yarn. It was super comfy and I did sleep well.

The hotel is situated in the national park and gives good access to hiking trails (or skiing depending the season). The staff was very welcoming, and the restaurant was excellent. We had a very good evening meal with lots of local options, and the choice at the breakfast buffet (included in our stay) was excellent, again with lots of local content.
We were in Muonio in the summer time. It was difficult to rent a boat for fishing. There are little tourism activities in the summer. After 5 nights with fishing, riding a bike and a small hiking, we had explored the area. I think, Muonio is much more interesting to visit in winter time.
I would give 10 points for the cleanliness and comfort you would immediately feel after checking in. The host also scores 10 points for her hospitality and friendliness. All in all, I felt I had come home to stay in the countryside where I grew up at after a long absence. I will surely return to this hotel if I revisit the same area again.
