Magical property, but don't tell anyone about it! It is a amazing secret. This property is a labor of love and passion as you will see in displayed in the plants and artwork. Every nook and cranny is thought of. Snorkel/surf directly out of this lagoon. What not to expect: No poolside shennanigans and nothing moves quickly. Schedule resteraunts and taxi's before you leave!!! If you wait, "it will not be possible". Rather, plan ahead. Beds are best we have had in our travels. It's tropical, so bugs are a thing, just know that. Eileen will handle your every need.
Featuring an outdoor pool and beachfront restaurant, the tropical huts at Hotel Hibiscus are only steps from sandy white beaches. Kayak rental is available at the restaurant.

Close to shops and restaurants, but quite a long way from the port.
Nice bungalow with deck overlooking the lagoon.
They let us check in early, the guy at the front desk was helpful and booked a tour for us which was great as most things are closed on Saturday afternoon.

What a great find…good location, sort of in between anything you would want to visit…but the best thing were the use of the kayaks which we took out every morning to paddle to the little islands, beaches and to snorkel. Wonder finish to our 3 month trip away from home. Thank you, thank you

If you like to snorkel, dive or hike this is one of the best locations of any island anywhere. The people of Moorea are wonderful with a great culture.
On a private beach, Hotel Kaveka features traditional bungalows with cable TV and ceiling fans. Guests can try water sports including snorkeling and canoeing. Wi-Fi is available in public areas.
Located in Moorea, a 7-minute walk from Tiahura Beach, Moorea Island Beach Hotel provides accommodations with free bikes, free private parking, a garden and a terrace.

Well, for starters, the location is amazing. On the west coast, so amazing sunsets. And right in the middle of the greatest concentration of restaurants on the island, many within a few minutes walking distance. The staff was lovely, Vaimiti is a wonderful hostess, as are the other women who manage the front desk.
If you’re looking for a big glitzy overwater bungalow resort, in a location that isolates you from the real people of the island, this is not the place for you. If you want a small hotel with lots of peace and quiet, a wonderful beach with good snorkeling, kayaks and bicycles to use at your leisure, and a very cool vibe, this is your place.
Located in Paopao, 3.5 miles from Moorea Green Pearl Golf Course, Cook's Bay Hotel & Suites provides accommodations with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a fitness center and a garden.

The breakfast was very disappointing. Of the 4 places we stayed, this was by far the worst breakfast. I will recommend to anyone to take their breakfast somewhere else. The fruit bowl and cooked egg dishes were particularly disappointing. Other than that, I was very impressed with the facility.
The only thing that is frustrating coming from New Zealand,...
The only thing that is frustrating coming from New Zealand, where the public has access to all beaches, is that in Moorea, like the rest of French Polynesia other than three public beaches the toilets are all locked. Also, the street lighting is not operational or turned off, so if you walk after dark, you have to do so with a torch. Also in this area, Google Maps would suggest that there are roads leading to the water side but they are mostly private and the best snorkelling areas are therefore only accessible on a tour or if you eat at the waterfront restaurant, or hire a canoe etc. Locals are friendly, and you feel safe here even after dark.

We were happy with our location in Papetoai.
We were happy with our location in Papetoai.
we had a rental car and the shops and Restaurants are very close by.
We had a few km to drive to the public beaches, which wasn't a problem.
We recommend booking a bungalow with a kitchen for a stay longer than two or three days.

We were told by two locals there is quite a bit of petty theft. The police visited the hotel twice while we were there. You must lockup all your valuables in the safe and keep your doors locked at all times.
On the bright side there are some good reasonably priced restaurants we particularly liked La Pai Hot about 500 M from the Hotel. Great service, friendly staff and really good food.

Very relaxing and very nice staff.
Very relaxing and very nice staff. Lovely fish to observe and beautiful Lagoon. Stayed 3 nights. Perfect amount of time...they have a wonderful library to relax and read. Looks like it's out of a movie. The property is next to a few nice restaurants (we drove so was fine but would have been a little too far to walk)
Highly recommend renting a vehicle if you are staying here. Also, bring some good water footwear to explore the shallow Coral areas.
Very nice host and just super tranquil. Merci beaucoup!

We booked a garden villa with a pool. We stayed in room 50, just of the beach. The plunge pool is private but the front decking can be seen by people walking past as there is only a hedge separating it from the path. The drinks in the mini bar are complimentary which is a nice touch. The stand out feature at the hotel if the hotel reef if you enjoy snorkelling. Just wade into the perfectly calm sea of the hotel beach and you will see plenty of fish, in fact more than we saw than in the snorkelling boat tour we did.
We loved the hotel’s private beach area and the whole place is really beautiful. We stayed in a villa with a private plunge pool, which was lovely, clean and spacious. The turn down service and the fact that the mini bar is topped up for free each day was a nice touch. My husband and I had a massage each at the hotel spa and they were amazing! The masseurs were really lovely too.
It was located on a beautiful beach, with a nice pool and an excellent restaurant right on the water. The hotel is also located next to shops, eateries, and a pharmacy. The reception was very helpful, and they had useful information about tours. The WiFi connection was very good throughout the premises. The staff were very friendly, and Philippe was very welcoming.
The view was good
Drive up to motel terrible and very dangerous
Owner of hotel came down yelled at us for being to loud in pool at 5pm and said she will call police if we are not quiet pool hours are 8 or pm but she changed them on us
The breakfast was terrible but edible food was poorly cooked and extremely expensive breakfast 18 dollars
The view of the lagoon was fantastic !! The landscaping is lush ^ lovely!! The furnishings are unique, and the room's shower & tub are magnificent!! The bed and pillows are very comfortable!! Bonus, there is a small store down the road and a restaurant very close to the hotel, so this was very helpful, to get snacks and a pre-maid meal.
