The Nottingham Road Hotel, hotel in Nottingham Road

Nottingham Road Hotel is a historical landmark known as Notties by many generations of locals. It is located in the village of Nottingham Road, in the heart of the Midlands Meander.

This is a quaint and rustic hotel which is great to break a Jhb/Dbn trip for a romantic overnight stay, as has been our experience in the past. Staff are great, pub is fantastic and food was really good.

The Courtyard at La Loggia, hotel in Nottingham Road

The Courtyard at La Loggia offers accommodations in Nottingham Road, 7.4 miles from Bosch Hoek Golf Club and 15 miles from Fort Nottingham Museum.

Wonderful Hospitality by the hosts. A place is often defined by its people. The hosts were extremely warm and welcoming. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and exciting. They are passionate about their surroundings and happy to share and give a taste of life at La Loggia. Very genuine and authentic people and will highly recommend this place because of that. There are a variety of animals on the estate like zebra, bucks, blesbok, eland and cows. You see alot of them on the estate. There are a variety of bird species that come to the courtyard and drink from the fountain. It is in close proximity to restaurants, pubs and other activities. There are lovely dam spots for fishing, picnics and strolls.

Our timing was spot-on as the misty atmosphere made for an excellent road trip in and around Nottingham Road. We were amazed at how much the Midlands has developed in the last 10 years since our last visit.

Most beautiful scenic trip and stops along the way.

Most beautiful scenic trip and stops along the way. The only 2 negatives are the condition of the road which could do with a new lick of tar or at the least filling all the potholes and lastly cutting away the bushes from the road.

The room was clean and fairly comfortable. Bathroom spacious and modern. There is a restaurant on site which is convenient. Location is about 15 minutes from the Nottingham road on/off ramp on the n3. It is also nearby to other attractions, restaurants and shops in Notties.

Nottingham Road Hotel is a classic, the heart of the KZN Midlands. The pub and food is the star of the show, stop in for a good hearty meal from the kitchen or a classic pizza around the bar, with a Guinness in hand. Even the locals know this is the place to go.

It is self catering. We received milk and eggs. We had lovely dinner down the road. The road is particularly bad though with potholes to town. It is further out from Nottingham road.
