Magaliesburg is a lovely place for a short getaway.
Magaliesburg is a lovely place for a short getaway. Close enough to Jhb, but you still get the feeling of being away. There are a number of interesting places to visit, and it's lovely to see the local people making such efforts to build up their businesses and the area.

Nto is a wonderful host and the little cottage is beautiful and fully equipped. It's super private and tranquil, with views over the Magaliesburg and the most amazing sunsets. There are hikes on the property, but there are also many restaurants, hiking spots and other activities in the area. Definitely the place to relax and recharge away from the bustle of city life.
Very friendly staff. The kids club and heated pool were clear winners. The kids loved teacher Khumo at Kid's club. Very spacious outdoors never felt overcrowded even though hotel was busy.
The underfloor heating in the room was great.
Whispering Pines is a remote hideaway to get away from busy city life. The rooms are individual chalets away from the main hotel building. Each chalet has it's own parking. There are wonderful walks around the area.
The view was amazing, its a ranch not a five star hotel. If you want to get away from the city noise, then this is the place. No tv just perfect. Great family time
