Nestled amidst the rolling hills of Tuscany, Precise Tale Poggio Alla Sala offers an enchanting escape for couples seeking a romantic getaway. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were captivated by the hotel's timeless elegance and all-around warm hospitality. From the front desk, to the dining staff at La Via Della Seta and terrace, even the nightly turndown service with the Tuscan tale, simply excellent, excellent , excellent service. We will most definitely stay here the next time we visit!

The hotel was located a few minutes driving from the walled town of Montepulciano. The property is very well maintained and the surroundings are breathtaking. The room was big and comfortable for all 4 of us. Breakfast is good and the ability to take it in the terrace overlooking the stunning view is a big plus. The pool seemed pretty cool although we didn't have enough time to enjoy it. We would certainly recommend this hotel and come back in the future.

Great location in a beautiful city. The parking was as convenient as can be for an ancient city; we were very happy to have a spot in the #6 parking lot arranged ahead of time. The owners, Roberto and Victoria, are so lovely and welcoming! We felt like family.

Wandering the streets of Montepulciano at night and early morning was peaceful, and a photographer's delight. Wine tasting bars and great restaurants and fantastic history .... what more could you want. We experienced some of our best dinners here.

Beautiful walled town with a very interesting undergound city history.
We did a fantastic wine tour with Talosa (one of the oldest in the city) through Viator.
Just outside the city walls there is an amazing local spot called Pizzeria Rosticceria Linda where we had pasta and pizza! We were the only tourists there.
It is very quiet in the evening wondering the streets with little to no tourists. I wouldn't spend the night here again unless I did a little more research into the night life.

Great old city to walk.
Great old city to walk. Lots of steep climbs that are totally worth the effort. Every restaurant we tried was excellent and reasonably priced. Our favorite was the Chianina Station sitting outside on their patio.
We spent 3 days and used it as a place to stage short trips to wineries around the area. Just a great place to explore and chill.

Montepulciano is a charming town, and was very welcoming to my family. We had a great time exploring the city, and visiting the wine shops, restaurants, and stores. Definitely climb the tower at the top of the city, the view is breathtaking.
But be prepared to walk uphill, a lot. This town, as I am sure is the case with many other hill towns in Tuscany, is not friendly to people with walking disabilities, and only permitted cars are allowed in the city walls. If you are driving in from the surrounding area for a day visit, plan to arrive earlier in the morning as parking is a challenge. Staying in the city was a treat, but I wouldn't do it for more than a few days as leaving the city and finding parking again on your return is a challenge at best.

History and historic wines combine in Montepulciano.
History and historic wines combine in Montepulciano. My husband and I are sommeliers, art and history lovers. This town delivers on all scores and the locals are incredibly inviting and friendly - even more than the typical Italian standard. This town constantly has cultural and musical events, some serious and others simply fun in nature. Wineries close by, and the wine bars, closer.
Andreas and his team work very hard at making sure you have a great stay. The views from the property are fantastic. It’s very close to Montepulciano but a bit of a hike to get to town, however Andreas and his Team will drop you off and come and pick you up anytime you ask. There’s a great onsite restaurant (I recommend you sit in the olive trees or under the cherry trees). You can also do your laundry easily which is great if you are on a road trip of Italy.
Love the garden and the view from the garden is amazing ! ! Room is also very nice. Staff is friendly. Bonus is the espresso machine and public drinking water machine that let guest refill anytime. There is not many rooms and it gives us more private/exclusive feel. We stayed for 2 nights only and really feels like home. It is the best hotel throughout our Italy trip. Wish to go back !
Located very close to Montepulciano town, it was the perfect escape to relax and unwind after a few days of exploring Italy. We enjoyed the pool, the stunning view and our cosy room! We went on a Tuscan roadtrip and this was, by far, our favourite place to stay. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!
Agroturismo La Manonera has a very special and beautiful location, I enjoyed sunrises and sunsets with a view on mountains. I had a nice apartment with kitchen, so I could prepare my own breakfast or dinner. The owner is a nice lady with kind heart, very authentic and gives a real feeling of being in Italy. loved it!!
Everything! Our favourite place to stay during our trip to Italy. Amazing view, the bed was so comfortable, good water pressure in the shower. It had everything we needed and the host was so kind. We also loved the little dog who lived on the property :)
