I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sunflower Homes Villa Lodge in Kibagabaga, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. The staff is incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring that every need was met with a smile. The villa itself is beautifully designed with modern amenities, providing both comfort and style. The spacious rooms are tastefully decorated and offer stunning views of the surrounding area. The beds are comfortable, and the overall ambiance is serene, making it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The location is fantastic—quiet and peaceful, yet conveniently close to local attractions and restaurants. I especially enjoyed the lush gardens surrounding the lodge, which created a relaxing atmosphere. The outdoor spaces, including the terrace and pool area, are perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. Homes Villa Lodge to anyone look I would highly recommend Sunflowering for a peaceful retreat with excellent service and a touch of luxury. It’s truly a hidden gem in Kibagabaga

El Umutuzo lodge se encuentra en Buhoro y ofrece jardín, salón compartido, terraza y restaurante. El alojamiento cuenta con bar y zona de playa privada. The location is spectacular and our rooms were beautiful, clean and comfortable. The view from the room is mesmerizing. The staff are extremely helpful and responsive. The chef provided the most delicious menus we’ve had in Rwanda. Excellent meals!

El Karisimbi Cave Resort se encuentra en Ruhengeri, a 45 km del parque nacional Mgahinga Gorilla, y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, estacionamiento privado gratuito, salón compartido y terraza. The staffs are extremely friendly and helpful. They always try their best to make us feel comfortable and help to answer all of our questions. The management team is very responsive. They even helped to recommend tour agencies and drivers when we were planning our itineraries. The resort is helping women to get quality job. The resort is very close to the headquarter of Volcanoes National Park, just a 20 minutes drive, so we get to prepare our activities in the Park with ease. The kitchen of the hotel is pretty nice too, as a vegan, they provide me a lot of options.

El ARAUCARIA RESIDENCE ofrece alojamiento en Gisenyi, a 3,5 km de la clínica médica de 'l Arche y a 6 km de Rwandan Adventures. I can't recommend Araucaria Residence highly enough. Beautiful lakeside location within easy walking distance of the public beach and restaurants. The rooms and gardens are immaculately kept. The staff are attentive, friendly, and extremely helpful. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, as was both dinners I had at the hotel. If I were visit Gisenyi again I wouldn't hesitate to return to Araucaria Residence.

Akagera Ihema complejos de cabañas tiene jardín, terraza, restaurante y bar en Rwinkwavu. Hotel dispone de estacionamiento privado gratis y wifi gratis. We just checked out of the Akagera Ihema Lodge. What a beautiful location, atop a mountain overlooking Lake Ihema. The lodges are new, large, modern and decorated beautifully with African Art. Our lodge had a large balcony/patio overlooking the lake (I believe they all do). You can catch sunrise lying in your bed if you leave the balcony/patio curtains open. It was wonderful. But what really made our stay even more memorable were the two young ladies, Landy and Monique, who took care of everything. They were always smiling and helpful. Landy was on hand at all times organizing everything (including serving the best drinks in their restaurant/bar that also had an incredible view). Monique is also the chef. The food was delicious (I especially liked the veggie egg pad Thai and this morning, a poached egg on avocado toast). Btw, when the power had gone out briefly after a storm, Landy ran down with an additional battery powered light. (The power was restored within 30 minutes). This place is a gem and I highly recommend it. Note: since these lodges are on the side of a mountain, you can have a bit of a downhill/uphill climb via stairs or a ramp so if you have any mobility issues mention it to them so they can reserve a lodge not so far down. We were in lodge #2 and we didn’t have a problem (we are relatively fit 70 year olds). I should also mention that these lodges are outside Akagera National Park and the Park doesn’t permit multiple entries (re-entry). But after looking at the places to stay inside the Park (the reviews as well as the cost), I chose to stay here and would do so again.
