We always end our trips by asking each other "which place we stayed at you liked the best?" and this was that place.
This is the place to stay if you want peace, quiet and beautiful views. Yes, you need a car to get there, and, yes, you also need a car to go out to dinner, but that wasn't a problem to us, quite the opposite, we were looking for that.
Room was clean and as in photos, the view from our window was stunning.
Breakfast was served fresh every morning and had some nice and personal touches like homemade jam.
Last but no least, the hosts were so welcoming and polite, gave dinner recommendations and were open to give you any recommendation and help you need.
On the morning of our check out there was no rush and we were welcome to check out when we wanted, and since after check out we went to the Paiva Walkways (p.s. very close to this property as also is Arouca 516), the host suggested that if necessary, we can come back after the walk and use the shower.
We are glad we found this place, and hope to be back!

The host went out of her way to find suitable activities for us to do during our stay. It was fall and many vineyards were closed for the season. She recommended good restaurants and was very friendly. The room was large and modern and quiet with fantastic views.

Our stay was wonderful, combining a peaceful atmosphere with a warm, family-friendly setting. The decor perfectly reflects the location, adding a special touch to the experience. Breakfast was excellent, with attentive service from D. Ana, who went out of her way to accommodate dietary needs during my pregnancy. The hotel offers an open space for guests to explore freely, creating a welcoming, respectful environment. The nearby river crossing is tranquil, perfect for relaxing moments. Highly recommended!

Stunning views, excellent choice of pools, well-appointed bedroom and bathroom, large twin queen beds, great breakfast, wonderful formal restaurant, casual dining menu needs more selection, check in was a bit too slow but staff are amazingly helpful and friendly.

If we had known that the road to the house were that narrow, we would have accepted the hosts offer to personally lead us to the house. The house was overall gorgeous and spacious. We loved our experience there. If we had known that the experience was that lovely, we would have stayed for at least a week.

The place is located as per the name in the nature between the mountains. Very quite and peaceful. There is nothing around in terms of hotel or bar within 10KM radius. But over all it was very pleasant place to take break from hustle and bustle of the city life.
Freshly renovated hotel, nicely decorated with some touches of old Portuguese furniture. Owned by a family who greatly takes care to run this place as good as they can. Great hospitality from the owners and great breakfast with some fruits from their own trees.
