This place is lovely. After travelling around the area we realised we could have stayed here more than one night and wished we had. We had a room in the main house and the lads had the 2 bedroom house. Our room was lovely but the house is fabulous and very well equipped. Lovely area outside the house to sit and enjoy the sun. The hostess was very welcoming. Croissants, water, tea and coffee provided. Shops not too far away. Close to centre which looked lovely but a lot was closed due to a religious celebration. Plenty of room for motorbikes and a gated entrance to the grounds.

The hosts Cristina and Manuel were wonderful. We arrived late, and Manuel received us with a very warm welcome and help. Cristina spoiled us with very tasty handmade cakes, especially the traditional pastel de nata. They suggested us a very good restaurant close to the hotel. The whole staff were very friendly and made their best to give good and home feeling.

Such a beautifully renovated house, quality material, super isolating double glass windows which gave us the feeling to be totally distant from the outside (which after being in cities we really appreciated enormously!), so perfect for our daily meditations. I especially liked the style: modern and traditional very well combined, some nice wood here and there, the love for details everywhere.

We were here in early June 2023, newly converted and we were their 2nd guests. Very good, no its excellent, accommodation. Coming here is getting away from the tourist scene of beaches and crowds. The kitchen dining living room was easy to work in, the bedroom very comfortable. WiFi, power points, table very workable. Could easily be accommodation could spend a week in. The owner is next door and very helpful.
Could easily be used as a base to explore areas within a 20 or 30km or more range.
Went to a local restaurant ( cafe Flor do Paraiso) just down the road for probably our best home cooked Portuguese meal of the trip. The cafe is local enough that its not even on Google.

Stunning views, excellent choice of pools, well-appointed bedroom and bathroom, large twin queen beds, great breakfast, wonderful formal restaurant, casual dining menu needs more selection, check in was a bit too slow but staff are amazingly helpful and friendly.

If we had known that the road to the house were that narrow, we would have accepted the hosts offer to personally lead us to the house. The house was overall gorgeous and spacious. We loved our experience there. If we had known that the experience was that lovely, we would have stayed for at least a week.

It's a bit isolated from city life (30 - 40 minutes from Porto), but sometimes getting away from it all is necessary for mental health, right ? Good hiking opportunities and abundant beautiful scenery !

We stayed at the hotel’s Canastra (bungalow) and we truly enjoyed it. Really relaxing! The view over the mountains is absolutely beautiful!
We went to the Arouca bridge in the next morning and the staffing was really kind and offered us to make the breakfast a bit more earlier so that we could go without rush to our destination.
Really friendly staff. They have partnerships with restaurants and they got the food for us, so we didn’t have to leave the facilities. It’s a somewhat hard drive but really worth it.
The location is beautiful, it was a lot of fun to drive the twisting road to the hotel.
Once we arrived at the hotel we were welcomed with some cake and a drink out on the terrace :)
The staff was amazing and very friendly. Not all of them are fluent in English, but they tried their best to help out anyway.
Freshly renovated hotel, nicely decorated with some touches of old Portuguese furniture. Owned by a family who greatly takes care to run this place as good as they can. Great hospitality from the owners and great breakfast with some fruits from their own trees.
The terrace in the room was nice. The boyfriend of manager helped with luggage.
The towels were better than other places (of 2-3 star hotels\apartments)
