Beautiful and quiet, stylish resort with extensive grounds in the mountains with panoramic views of the Bay of Paestum and the Amalfi Coast and Capri in the distance - uncomplicated, quiet luxury to relax in. Spacious rooms with panoramic windows and terrace, harmoniously stylish and consistently coordinated, very calming design.
The beds and shower were very comfortable (rainforest shower with sufficient water pressure). The Italian breakfast was a bit small in selection, but of very appealing quality. All areas are kept very clean and tidy.
All staff were very friendly and helpful throughout.
A perfect place to relax, unwind and as a base for excursions in the surrounding area.
We would have loved to stay longer and would definitely come back when we are in the area (if the prices stay reasonable).

This hotel is a dreamy oasis. The gardens offer the perfect tranquil space to unwind with an affogato or a spritz. The rooms were well designed, air-conditioned and comfortable. The staff were kind and attentive. It is clear that every element of the renovation of this historic estate was thoughtfully crafted for the guests' comfort. We could not make a stronger recommendation.

The archaeological site is very impressive and well worth visiting. The beach area is OK if you like sand, but quite dull. It is not too commercialised. The area inland (particularly the Cilento National Park) is beautiful and well worth a visit. Wish we had had more time to explore.

The park where the Greek ruins are situated is quite isolated, so if you are coming by public transport give yourself plenty of time to get there before dark. There is nothing much around there at night.

Paestum has an AMAZING set of well-preserved ruins, considering they were build some 2,500 years ago! We spent about 3-4 hours there (a little over an hour in the museum, and then a few more hours walking through the ruins. They were amazing to behold. The app downloaded from the museum website (Parco Archeologico di Paestum) was very helpful to learn about the ruins as we walked through them. The kids got rather tired though, so it was good to have a gelato break after leaving the ruins at the nearby cafe.

Some of the finest Greek temples in the world...in Southern Italy! Not to be missed. After time in Venice, we took the train to Bari, rented a card and (in turn) visited one day/night in: Alberobello, Matera, and Paestum. What a wonder trip. It was off-season, which just meant there were no crowds. We had a wonderful time! After Paestum we continued to the Amalfi coast, Pompeii and then to Rome.

Paestum is a fascinating historical site.
Paestum is a fascinating historical site. It has been well preserved and is well worth exploring. The archeological park is well maintained and easy to see in about four hours. The adjacent museum is very new, with an interesting collection of artifacts found in the park. The shops and restaurants lining the roads along the park boundary are fairly typical tourist focused businesses. One exception is the “Museum Cafe”, closest to the museum. It has excellent gelato, and even has babas.

The ruins are spread over a very large area and consist of mainly low stone walls but with three large temples still intact. The museum is a wonderful building of marble faced walls & pillars exhibiting many excellent paintings on the recovered stone slabs from the ruins plus jewellry and pottery. Very fine work and gives such a good idea of the lives of the inhabitants and what they admired.
The entrance fee also covers the ruin complex and is a much reduced price for EU citizens.
The modern town is just that and has various usual amenities.
Friendly staff, good position near the temples, and lots of restaurant options nearby. Our room had a bedroom, bathroom, and a small separate room with a desk and sofa. The street outside become pedestrian only after 6PM great fro walking around.
Car parking for unloading is directly outside the hotel, up to 6 PM. Overnight is about 200m away for 3 Euro.
This is a truly exceptional hotel- intimately elegant in the way only Italians can do; well appointed, with a superb restaurant and charming gardens-just right for relaxing in after visiting the nearby ancient Greek sites. And such charming and helpful staff- their watchword seemed to be "everything is possible"!
Extremely friendly and helpful staff.
Huge room with a very large bed.
Cleanliness is top.
Very copious breakfast in a nice big room looking onto a manicured garden.
Location is perfect for sightseeing and dinner at night.
