the breakfast was really good for a B & B, with fresh coffee (We had Machine coffee in others...in ITALY!) and a nice selection of cornetto's (Croissants with stuff in them) meat, bread eggs, etc.
The shower was nice. The rooms were clean, and the actual building is quite fun too, with lots of art everywhere, and a pool (Which we sadly didn't have time to use) I can imagine that - after a hard days Archeoligo-ing at the Acropolis - some middle aged Germans in Sketchers would enjoy laying back in the sun, and taking a dip, so you get the best of both worlds here!

The archaeological site is very impressive and well worth visiting. The beach area is OK if you like sand, but quite dull. It is not too commercialised. The area inland (particularly the Cilento National Park) is beautiful and well worth a visit. Wish we had had more time to explore.

The park where the Greek ruins are situated is quite isolated, so if you are coming by public transport give yourself plenty of time to get there before dark. There is nothing much around there at night.

Paestum has an AMAZING set of well-preserved ruins, considering they were build some 2,500 years ago! We spent about 3-4 hours there (a little over an hour in the museum, and then a few more hours walking through the ruins. They were amazing to behold. The app downloaded from the museum website (Parco Archeologico di Paestum) was very helpful to learn about the ruins as we walked through them. The kids got rather tired though, so it was good to have a gelato break after leaving the ruins at the nearby cafe.

Some of the finest Greek temples in the world...in Southern Italy! Not to be missed. After time in Venice, we took the train to Bari, rented a card and (in turn) visited one day/night in: Alberobello, Matera, and Paestum. What a wonder trip. It was off-season, which just meant there were no crowds. We had a wonderful time! After Paestum we continued to the Amalfi coast, Pompeii and then to Rome.

Paestum is a fascinating historical site.
Paestum is a fascinating historical site. It has been well preserved and is well worth exploring. The archeological park is well maintained and easy to see in about four hours. The adjacent museum is very new, with an interesting collection of artifacts found in the park. The shops and restaurants lining the roads along the park boundary are fairly typical tourist focused businesses. One exception is the “Museum Cafe”, closest to the museum. It has excellent gelato, and even has babas.
Pasquale a Mare is located half a minute from the beach and very close to the Paestum archaeological park. I only stayed one night to stop to see the park, but everyone was really nice.
From the totally professional and friendly check-in by the son of the house, to an interesting talk with the charming waiter from Torino (and Marocco) who came up with some nice food to accompany the drink up to the owner and his wife who all made sure, that even if only for one night, I was having a good stay.
Also, everything was very clean.
Very clean place and friendly staff who were very helpful. Beautiful views from my room. Would definitely recommend to friends. Room was clean, Luigi was very friendly and helpful and he gave advice of where to visit and how to get there and also went the extra mile and gave me a lift, staff were very attentive and responsive.comfortable bed with amazing views. Would definitely go again. Top service thank you luigi. Grazie mille
Francesco is the most lovely host you could ask for.
This was a fantastic little B&B, not too far from the beach or the nearby small town.
Breakfast was fantastic and extremely extensive - not what we were expecting at all.
The room was lovely, clean and with a lovely balcony too.
The ideal spot for a few nights in Paestum.
the Luxury feeling, renewed interior with art deco elements. Spa was one of the best ones we have ever stayed before. Nice elegant breakfast. Not to miss the 2 Michelin star restaurant - Tre Olivi!!! As it was off season, we liked that it was not so crowded and during out stay there were no weddings.
I booked a room with a bath but when I got there we were given a room with a shower but the host was quick to explain that I booked a room with a shower and Booking.com was wrong but she kindly moved us to a room with a shower.
