It is a really quiet place, but if you have a car, then it is a short drive to the nearby towns and Gaztelugatxe monastery. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. The apartments are comfortable and clean, beds are good, everything works, kitchen is reasonably equipped, no complaints.

The best view I could find in Bakio, amazing from the living room and the balcony. It had parking, was easy to get to and the owner very nice and helpful.

Bakio is a terrific beach and surfing resort, but we didn't go for either of those. We went because it's close to Gaztelugatxe and there are some very good restaurants nearby. And a txakoli museum! Check it out!

We were charmed by this wonderful hotel. Our room faced onto the beach, so close we could hear the waves at night. We have to mention Unai, who is responsible for the hotel's fabulous breakfast!
The Arimune was also a great base for our visit to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe, which was spectacular and well worth the hike.
We stayed for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Spacious open plan apartment. Very comfortable, with very good fixtures and fittings and kept very clean. The location at the eastern edge of Bakio was excellent and was an easy walk into the town and to the beach.
