I went to a few events in downtown Augusta & it was great!

I went to a few events in downtown Augusta & it was great! I used to live in the old town area near there and I'm amazed at how they updated much of the area while retaining it's historic southern charm. Augusta is with it! The medical district made me proud I'm from the ancient days of MCG (Medical College of Georgia) and University Hospital and all that area is new and different for patrons and students it's really a good look for the city when visitors come. Augusta College, Paine College & the crown jewel that makes Augusta known the world over The Augusta National Golf Club/Masters golf course are still standing strong. I miss Regency Mall but Augusta Mall fills the bill! Surrounding areas like Evans, Martinez, Hephzibah & North Augusta (SC) have much to adventure seek as well. I rode the full length of the CSRA/Central Savannah River Area I can't remember the exact name of the river but the water is still peaceful I watched many a boat race there in the past. This is the new South and it's still as charming as ever!

Went to Augusta for the Womens Amatuer Tournament at Augusta National. The location of the hotel was ideal and was within walking distance of the course. We ventured into Broad Street was was run down, looked unsafe and poor. Was told by locals that the area was going through a transition and new businesses were opening up improving the area. I hope this continues. Was also told there were nicer areas in Augusta to visit however we didn't get the opportunity to seek these out.

Lovely stay. Will definitely come back here. Great value and service. The staff members were friendly, accommodating, and went above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met. They worked with me and my situation. Location-wise, the motel is convenient, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. Right off the highway, central location to good food, shopping, grocery, etc.

The hotel is possibly under construction. The guest lobbyand floor hallways are hot. The room is hot as well. It took a long time for our room to get cool. The staff was vey courteous in trying to get us accommodated. It is simply not ready or safe for guest to be in due to the renovations.
