Hyatt House Augusta Downtown, hotel in Augusta

Located in Augusta and with Augusta Museum of History reachable within a 17-minute walk, Hyatt House Augusta Downtown has express check-in and check-out, non-smoking rooms, a fitness center, free WiFi...

The hotel was very clean. David from the Front desk was always accommodating and friendly. He was a person that knew what customer service meant. I also appreciate the assistance from Front desk Christian and cleaning staff to get our room ready earlier since we arrived early afternoon. The fitness center was clean and spacious. I like that it was 24hrs. The rooms were nice and beds were comfortable. I like that there was a microwave and a fridge with a freezer. The couch was nice too. I booked the King studio suite. The walk-in shower had a anti-slip mat. Breakfast was good the first day. I appreciate the to-go boxes and bags to allow guests to take back up to their rooms. Pancakes instead of the usual waffles you see was a good touch. There is a bar on an upper floor and a parking garage, but I did not use either. The location is close to nearby restaurants and outlets as well. I liked the security. you had to swipe your room card to get on your floor. You also had to swipe room card to get into the building after 11. I also like that check out is at 12 noon so you can sleep in a little more.

Down town are was old but had neat things to see. The Augusta Mall was not a good experience as there was shooting that day and had to evacuate. Not much to do in Augusta had to go further out for a better atmosphere and more things to do.

Went to Augusta for the Womens Amatuer Tournament at Augusta National. The location of the hotel was ideal and was within walking distance of the course. We ventured into Broad Street was was run down, looked unsafe and poor. Was told by locals that the area was going through a transition and new businesses were opening up improving the area. I hope this continues. Was also told there were nicer areas in Augusta to visit however we didn't get the opportunity to seek these out.

They worked with me and my situation. Location-wise, the motel is convenient, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. Right off the highway, central location to good food, shopping, grocery, etc.
