Stayed here with my boyfriend the first week of September and we absolutely loved it! The hotel is stunning with the most amazing location right on the water, so many different areas to sunbathe and relax. Loved the 'no reservation' rule which meant we never struggled to get a sunbed.
We booked a medium size room and it was perfect. Breakfast was the highlight of the day with so much choice, including oysters, prosecco, and a make-your-own juice station. But the best part of this hotel was the flexi system - works so well and meant we were able to choose whether to have lunch or dinner at the hotel each day, or just drinks (the cocktails are amazing!).
So many activities you can do, we rented paddleboards and bikes which was fun and spent a lot of time playing table tennis and table football. 15/20 minute walk into Stari Grad along the seafront, or the handy water taxi takes 5 mins and costs only €2 each. Would definitely recommend Bistro Vespera for dinner.
Overall, a fantastic holiday and will definitely be back :)

Everything is exceptional at this location. You see on each corner the attention given to details. Walking in the rooms is like a journey in another decade of history.

Ideal location, lovely apartment with everything you need. Little patio area is nice to sit out. Very friendly hosts, Ivana lives in house next door and very kindly brought us some pancakes one evening. Easy to find, highly recommend.

It's quiet but still full of action.
A lot of restaurants with different dishes and different kind of music.
Some even with live musicians.
There is a great plaza in the city covered with micro-blazes that shoot tiny drops of water producing refreshing fog. Kids loved it.
Big sidewalk along the sea allows for great night walks.
The city beach is fairly nice, clean water and normally crowded.
Great vacation for family with kids. Perhaps not so good for partygoers.

This is a lovely port not too big with plenty of restaurants and sailing yachts which moor each evening and give the place a very lively atmosphere. We stayed in a front room with sea view and terrace and the breakfast was served on the large terrace outside or inside if it was raining which did not happen for us - fortunately. Ante the Manage/0wner actually drove us back to the ferry at Hvar on our departure as the taxi driver had to cancel at the last minute and we were really grateful to him for that kind gesture. Yes it is easy to get around Stari Grad and we will rent bicycles next time as it is mostly quite flat.

Stari grad is a beautiful place and the people are very friendly.Lots of very nice bars and restaurants to choose from and lots of little streets to explore.,Public transport is cheap so its easy to check out other places not too far away.We found Taxis to be expensive so try and negotiate a price before you get in.A very relaxing, laid back place, just right for a chilled out holiday.

We could not of enjoyed Stari Grad more if we tried.
We could not of enjoyed Stari Grad more if we tried. The food was delicious, the people were incredibly friendly, and the architecture was beautiful.
If I can recommend anything, it is to visit Blue Doors. The food was amazing and all the Owners family recipes, the wine we selected (which I believe was the house white) was made next door to the restaurant. All the staff were lovely and we chose this location for our final meal of our holiday.
We loved the vibe. The DJ playing great tunes all arvo. The food. The comfy bed. The room. The balcony. The breakfast. It was all great. The place is in Stari Grad which is 22km from Hvar Old Town. If you like being closer to the Old Town, little Streets restaurants and bars, this IS NOT the place for you. But if you like the idea of a stunning pool, loads of lounges, bar by the pool, a beach, and transport options arranged by the hotel, on-site restaurant with lots of options, then you will enjoy it here.
The apartment was very nicely decorated and well equipped. Our host was very welcoming, offering us transfers both from the ferry and back. She also gave us some nice tips on how to avoid tourist traps (of which there are many in Hvar) and where to find genuinely great local food. Accommodation itself is a couple of minutes walk from the closest beach and the centre of Stari Grad. The city of Hvar is easily reachable by bus that stops just behind the accommodation. All in all, highly recommended!
Hotel Antica is a great place to stay if you want to discover Hvar island. (Hvar town is nice but the island has much more to offer) The staff is great, they make you feel welcome, they give great tips for restaurants, things to do and to see in the island. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is table served and very delicious. My girlfriend was very impressed with the house keeping :-) You will be very happy if you choose Hotel Antica.
It was clean, kitchen well equipped and it close to the beach. We were two but it’s very spacious and could host 3 or 4 adultes as described.
The lady Ana was kind and very welcoming and flexible as well for the check out
Much recommend this stay if you are gonna visit hvar island specially in Stari grad
Very neat and cozy apartments. The beach and the center of Stari Grad are very close by. I recommend these apartments for a great holiday on Hvar Island.
