It's quiet but still full of action.

It's quiet but still full of action. A lot of restaurants with different dishes and different kind of music. Some even with live musicians. There is a great plaza in the city covered with micro-blazes that shoot tiny drops of water producing refreshing fog. Kids loved it. Big sidewalk along the sea allows for great night walks. The city beach is fairly nice, clean water and normally crowded. Great vacation for family with kids. Perhaps not so good for partygoers.

This is a lovely port not too big with plenty of restaurants and sailing yachts which moor each evening and give the place a very lively atmosphere. We stayed in a front room with sea view and terrace and the breakfast was served on the large terrace outside or inside if it was raining which did not happen for us - fortunately. Ante the Manage/0wner actually drove us back to the ferry at Hvar on our departure as the taxi driver had to cancel at the last minute and we were really grateful to him for that kind gesture. Yes it is easy to get around Stari Grad and we will rent bicycles next time as it is mostly quite flat.

Stari grad is a beautiful place and the people are very friendly.Lots of very nice bars and restaurants to choose from and lots of little streets to explore.,Public transport is cheap so its easy to check out other places not too far away.We found Taxis to be expensive so try and negotiate a price before you get in.A very relaxing, laid back place, just right for a chilled out holiday.

We could not of enjoyed Stari Grad more if we tried.

We could not of enjoyed Stari Grad more if we tried. The food was delicious, the people were incredibly friendly, and the architecture was beautiful. If I can recommend anything, it is to visit Blue Doors. The food was amazing and all the Owners family recipes, the wine we selected (which I believe was the house white) was made next door to the restaurant. All the staff were lovely and we chose this location for our final meal of our holiday.

Hosts were very good communicating about recommendations for transfers and arrival times. Their daughter was with them on our arrival to explain in English how everything works. Rooms are comfy, spacious with en suites with all you could need. Pool is great with lots of inflatables to keep the kids entertained. Nice bottle of wine and chocolates from the hosts on arrival, and a small gift on departure. Easy walk into Stari Grad with lots of nice restaurants, and 5 euros by bus per person into Hvar on the bus with the stop across the road.

Great place to stay. Plenty of sunbeds and places to lounge by the pool or swim on the beach. Many activities are free or for a small fee, such as aqua fit, walking, cycling tour, and kayak tour. The food is good too and fresh. The hotel is a 15 min walk to the old town by the coast. Stari Grad is an authentic old town in Croatia. Just want to mention how great Sasha is, she takes all the activities and makes you feel welcome that you want to do all of them.

A lovely, family-friendly boutique hotel with an intimate feel, quiet location on the seafront with the beautiful town of Stari Grad in walking distance. We spent more days by the pool than planned as it was so relaxing! Great breakfast & cocktails. A big thank you to Jelica and the whole team for the amazing hospitality during our stay.

This place was perfect. Comfy bed, great kitchenette, great bathroom, aircon, and even has a great washing machine!! If you’re looking to stay in Hvar, I’d recommend staying here in Stari Grad, it’s much more relaxed and even better when you stay at places like Olive Tree!!! 10/10 recommend this place.

Great hotel, in a quiet location near the port. Transfer to Stari Grad was very handy and gave us lots of options to eat at night. Perfect for a week of relaxing away from everything.
