Great city for short getaways in the surrounding area, lots to see and do. We visited Zagorohoria, Metsovo, Tzoumerka and the city of Ioannina. It was quite cold and foggy in the mornings but overall we were lucky to have great weather as we heard that it usually rains a lot. Great nightlife options for food and drinks and the city was vibrant due to the Xmas spirit. Would highly recommend visiting.

Beautiful green and historical city by the lake. University city where students and locals keep it bustling day and night all year round.
We arrived mid September which meant local workers and school and university students had gone back. Constantly alive with people in the streets and establishment not only on weekends but during the week. Incredible food and coffee in the restaurants and cafes not only lining the lake but also further in. Modern and traditional restaurants everywhere affordable and upmarket. We ate out all the 5 days we were there. Great city to stay in but also as a base to surrounding landmarks and places. Can not wait to go again and stay in this area for at least 14 day.
About 10/15 minutes walk to the center of Ioannina, this apartment is located perfect. The allocated parking place beneath the apartment is a big plus.
We made a mistake with our booking regarding the bedsheets, which was resolved very fast.
Keep in mind that there are not a lot of cooking accessoires if you want to make your own meal and most supermarkets en bakery’s in the town are closed on Sundays
Located right in the center of the old town, in a beautiful new building with very good facilities, and extremely helpful staff. This is the place to stay in Ioannina. The breakfast included everything one can desire. You can find everything in the room starting with a small welcome drink and candy from the owners, comfortable beds, great view, etc.
Excellent small hotel decorated with care for all details. The staff was very friendly and we could park our motorbike safely in a private yard. Located only a few minutes walk from all the attractions of Ioannina, which is a very nice and lively city.
