Our four day stay in Athens was amazing.
Our four day stay in Athens was amazing. We spent three days shopping and sight seeing and one day at Vouliagmeni, on the Riviera.
The attractions are world class, the food tasty, the people as warm as the weather and the prices very reasonable.
The only thing we didn’t like was the fact that we went on a long weekend and the nightlife was quite subdued in many places, so avoid that if you want to experience the real Athens nightlife.

Easy to get around - almost everyone spoke English.
Easy to get around - almost everyone spoke English. Vibrant tavernas of the Psiri neighborhood with music in the evenings and shopping the Plaka with views of the Acropolis during the day were fun. The food was fantastic - we enjoyed everywhere we ate and plenty of options in Psiri, both Greek and other. Highly recommend the Archeological Museum though take a cab/uber if you are coming from Psiri. Also recommend trying the Acropolis at night - we went first thing in the morning and was clear we were joined by the cruise ship crowds :-(. Good to have euros for tipping though most places took card. Also recommend railbiking in Megara - an hour by car from Psiri. Though - no taxi/uber in Megara back so make sure you arrange a return ride from Athens or have a car.

Athens is always a great adventure with lots of communities and sightseeing possibilities with tour companies and the local hop on hop off buses. Athens is a great walking city so make sure you have comfortable shoes on! During the summer months there are so many tourists and then also add to that the day trippers from the cruise ships, it makes it hot, crowded and uncomfortable in most situations so next time I visit it will be when the crowds have not arrived!

FREAKING HOT! I mean miserably hot and humid.
FREAKING HOT! I mean miserably hot and humid. The history is amazing and the architecture and museums are incredible but the heat in June/July is almost unbearable if you are not already used to the combination of heat and humidity. You know it is hot when a local complains to you

I was in Athens when the temperature was almost 40 degrees, so it was hard to visit everything I wanted. But I am sure there are many places to visit when I come next time and the temperature is not so high.
This hotel is perfectly placed if you want to be close to Syntagma Square, Plaka and the National Gardens. It is a 3 minute walk from the X95 bus stop (the Athens Airport bus - cost 5 euros and 50 cents).
We had a lovely big room that overlooked the road and church at the front of the building.
The breakfast was top class with plenty of choice and all high quality.
A very positive experience.
Very surprised positively by this hotel. One of the best ones we stayed in while traveling in Greece. Comfortable room. Amazing breakfast with a great variety. Centre of Athens. Metro and bus stations are a 5 minute walk.
Highly recommend staying here.
The rooftop restaurant was incredible. We were expecting a bland but clean hotel for our last night in Greece, but this hotel was absolutely outstanding. Being able to walk across the street to the airport was delightful.
