Good hotel, parking and nice room. Not close to sur town, but having a car this did not matter.
Wadi shab Beach Resort in Sur provides adults-only accommodation with a garden and a terrace.

The room was on the beachfront in Tiwi, just a short walk away from Wadi Shab. The view from the balcony was superb.
The room was big, clean and comfortable.
Bordered by the Gulf of Oman and the mountainous landscape of Sur, this hotel offers spacious accommodation with a private balcony.

Wonderful view on the lagune. Very good value for money. Hotel a bit old but with atmosphere. Hotel has on each floor wonderful oval balcony inside (took pictures!).
Located in Ras Al Jinz, the nesting site for green turtles, Ras Al jinz Turtle Reserve offers air-conditioned rooms and cottages with a flat-screen satellite TV. It offers a free private beach area.

You stay at this place to join the turtle watching tours in the evening or at dawn. While we were visiting outside the peak season we were lucky to have a sighting the evening we were there. Even better the next morning we walked to the magnificent adjacent beach and were lucky to see a baby turtle manage to walk from its hatching site to the sea, together with a couple of curious ghost crabs. This was the highlight of our two weeks in Oman. The museum on the first floor is well done and worth a visit. Food for breakfast and dinner, as was the case everywhere else we stayed, was excellent. Staff friendly and obliging, also excellent guide for the turtle watch.
Sur Hotel is situated in Sur, 800 metres from Sur Beach and 41 km from Al Hadd Fort. With a terrace, the 1-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom.
Excellent location. But I would suggest that you allocate a separate place away from the hotel rooms for the scrap items as otherwise it invites snakes and scorpions to the rooms. Also recommend a Table Fan at the food lobby.

It a quiet port town.
It a beautiful little white town.
It a quiet port town.
It a beautiful little white town.
However, compared to the world's famous tourist destinations, it will be a little inferior.
But if you travel in Oman, it would be a good candidate.

Only best place to book is Ra's al jinz resort to see turtles laying eggs. Walk from the resort to the nesting beach is around 1.5 km wear comfortable shoes. Nothing else to do except turtle watch. Avoid the turtle museum on second floor it's not at all maintained and charges 2 RO ( 5 USD) not worth. Book tents they are good and gives you a camping feeling with comfort of a room.

Small town - not a huge amount to do here, we went for a walk along the beach, looked at the lighthouse, and ate at Zaki restaurant (try the butter chicken). We mainly stayed there to break up the journey between the Bimmah Sinkhole (beautiful and definitely worth a visit!), and Wahiba sands. Wouldn't stay here for longer than one night!

Seemed like an underdeveloped and old city.
Seemed like an underdeveloped and old city.
My experience was spoilt due to Covid regulations. We did a PCR Test in Nizwa City (Badr Al Samaa Hospital - they claimed that the reports could be collected from any of their branches in other cities). However collecting the report took us an hours' time, which threw us off our schedule to drive and experience Sur City.

sur is vey beautiful city . it has a very clean beaches and historical places as well. You can visit these places such as Al Sinsilah Fort and Fatah AL Khair Ship. You can enjoy a boat Ride for 15 minutes in Khor Al Batah. from sur you can vsist so many beautiful places such as Ras Al Had and Khor Jarama
Dinner and breakfast were simple but tasty. The reason to stay here is the location just 400 meters down the road from the Turtle Reserve. Upon check-in the manager made sure to inform us to go there to get a group number to see the turtles in the evening at 8:30 pm. We were able to see a turtle laying eggs and even little baby turtle return to the see. It was well worth the journey. The price is very reasonable for this simple hotel.
Comfortable villa with several sea-view rooms in a beautiful location on a rock overlooking a private beach located 500m from Wadi Shab entrance. Our host was super nice, arranged a local-style dinner and continental breakfast and also spent a day as our guide in Wadi Shab at a very reasonable price (12 OMR). We enjoyed his company tremendously and the wadi visit was one of the best experiences in Oman.
Excellent, centrally located hotel - ideal for a base when visiting Sur.
Very large, spacious and comfortable apartment. Very comfortable bed.
Good selection of foods for breakfast buffet.
Quiet and peaceful. Plenty of car parking space directly outside hotel.
Variety of nearby restaurants.
Helpful and friendly staff.
Very nice hotel with a view on the beach. Very huge room, nice and modern. Huge bathroom with very good shower and bath tube.
Good breakfast. In Sur you need a car so the position was good with a free parking. More than an hour to go to Ras Al Jinz but the road is perfect and lighted (you go when it is dark in the evening)
This is a very nice, big, old-fashioned hotel.
The location is awesome: right on the beach.
Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and offered lovely seaviews from the private balcony.
The staff is very friendly and helpful.
The food in the restaurant is excellent.
We would chose this hotel again, whenever we are in Sur.
