What is the to say other then Price/quality: very good .
Sea view: magnificent
We used it as a transit hotel from Wahiba Sands (via Wadi al khalid) to Wadi Shab and served its purpose perfectly.
Right next to the road (didn't hear car noise btw perhaps as we had sea view).
Spacious room.
A restaurant neighbouring the hotel was good (and very affordable as well).
Don't expect a 5 star hotel (duh because it isn't).
Breakfast is good (considering the price once again).
We can absolutely recommend this for the price.
The Best Western Sur is located in the picturesque city of Sur, famous as an old fishing village and traditional manufacturer of dhows.

It is a very nice hotel, nice pool and pool side service. Very nice restaurant with great food, friendly service and reasonably priced. They served wine if you wanted.
Located in Ras Al Jinz, the nesting site for green turtles, Ras Al jinz Turtle Reserve offers air-conditioned rooms and cottages with a flat-screen satellite TV. It offers a free private beach area.

The breakfast was of good quality considering the location of the hotel.

Modest but very comfortable hotel in the centre of town. Cheerful reception and clean rooms. Easy parking in the public square outside, so long as you arrive by mid-afternoon. A stone's throw from the souk, which is quieter and far less touristy than its Muscat counterpart.
Excellent location. But I would suggest that you allocate a separate place away from the hotel rooms for the scrap items as otherwise it invites snakes and scorpions to the rooms. Also recommend a Table Fan at the food lobby.

It a quiet port town.
It a beautiful little white town.
It a quiet port town.
It a beautiful little white town.
However, compared to the world's famous tourist destinations, it will be a little inferior.
But if you travel in Oman, it would be a good candidate.

Only best place to book is Ra's al jinz resort to see turtles laying eggs. Walk from the resort to the nesting beach is around 1.5 km wear comfortable shoes. Nothing else to do except turtle watch. Avoid the turtle museum on second floor it's not at all maintained and charges 2 RO ( 5 USD) not worth. Book tents they are good and gives you a camping feeling with comfort of a room.

Small town - not a huge amount to do here, we went for a walk along the beach, looked at the lighthouse, and ate at Zaki restaurant (try the butter chicken). We mainly stayed there to break up the journey between the Bimmah Sinkhole (beautiful and definitely worth a visit!), and Wahiba sands. Wouldn't stay here for longer than one night!

Seemed like an underdeveloped and old city.
Seemed like an underdeveloped and old city.
My experience was spoilt due to Covid regulations. We did a PCR Test in Nizwa City (Badr Al Samaa Hospital - they claimed that the reports could be collected from any of their branches in other cities). However collecting the report took us an hours' time, which threw us off our schedule to drive and experience Sur City.

very friendly manager and nice check in process. staff helped us with our luggage.
the parking is right in front of the rooms.
I really liked the “open air shower” which was a nice experience and different to other accommodations.
the place is quite peaceful early afternoon before everyone arrives- make sure to arrive early to enjoy the calmness and the beautiful environment.
the breakfast had fresh eggs (live cooking) which was a bit basic but still very welcome change to other hotels during Ramadan in Oman.
Comfortable villa with several sea-view rooms in a beautiful location on a rock overlooking a private beach located 500m from Wadi Shab entrance. Our host was super nice, arranged a local-style dinner and continental breakfast and also spent a day as our guide in Wadi Shab at a very reasonable price (12 OMR). We enjoyed his company tremendously and the wadi visit was one of the best experiences in Oman.
Very good design and location, well maintained, and the breakfast very variable along with sharming dinner on the pool
The only little concern the room size won't fit more the 2 people, I advise anyone wanna stay in this hotel to book more than room or get chance to book few available suits
In overall thumb up for Sur plaza, I would prefer for my next trip to sur..
The hotel is very clean and very nice. It is basically reflected to Omani house style culture. The room was very clean and very organised, the bed was tied up and clean.
