Rose cottage was very cosy, with a lovely homely feeling. The kitchen was well equipped, and the lounge diner a great social space with comfortable sofas. The beds are very comfortable with quality linens. The outdide space is lovely and the area is very quiet and well positioned for touring the area. The welcome basket was great, with essentials like bread and milk, wine and biscuits.

    Traditional seaside resort.

Traditional seaside resort. The pubs were rough and ready but friendly. Great place to stay with easy access to other parts of the island via an excellent bus service. The journey to the ferry terminal is difficult due to the suspension of the rail service. So for some this would require a taxi.

Enjoyed Ryde very much the walk along the front is lovely nice view on a nice day of Portsmouth. The beach is very good and clean and there are sufficient toilet facilities. The public transport in Ryde is excellent and all parts of the island are easily reached. There are lots of shops but no big names, eating out was good there was plenty of choice available. Over all we enjoyed our stay very much.

Muriel Lodge was out off the world, location was great the lodge was comfortable spotless clean everything you could want for a perfect stay, the welcome goods were much appreciated, fresh milk, butter, bread plus little pots of jams and marmalade all from the local farm. We will never forget our stay at Muriel Lodge. Matt and Roxy are only next door if you have a problem. We will book to stay there again, I highly recommend this accommodation. Helen and Harris

    Very nice area.

Very nice area. Right in the middle of the town and tourist attractions. Favourite place: Appley beach and the town itself. You can easily get around the area from the town to their beach by walking or car.

The beach when the tide is in is very pleasant but the tide does go out a long way. For anyone without their own transport there is a transport link to ferry rail and especially buses to anywhere on the island and only cost £2 per journey.?

The location of the hotel is strategic, walking distance to both, pier and town centre. The bus stop as a mere 1min walk and plenty of options to eat in and around the hotel. The hotel staff was very accommodating for getting us a baby cot and also allowed us to keep our luggage in the hotel on the day of our checkout. A very comfortable hotel to stay in Isle of Wight with excellent services.

We both had a fantastic breakfast and the staff were always on hand to help in anyway. We had an event in Isle of Wight which was the Armed Forces Day and the location was only 10 minutes away in the Eastern gardens in Ryde.

This hotel is basic but suited what I needed as a base to visit the island. It’s no frills but is sensibly priced and was clean. Really close to Ryde city centre and the train station all within walking distance
