Good breakfast with plenty of choice. Good evening meal with selection of beers. Excellent shower with toiletries, including a shower cap, which is much appreciated. The room was warm with an adjustable thermostat. Tea, coffee & biscuits provided. It was good to have an iron & ironing board. Slippers & gown provided, nice touch.
Staff lovely. Nice view of the bay from the bedroom window. Plenty of parking opposite. Beer garden for summer. A nice old building.

What a lovely welcome we had when we turned up at the door soaking wet, The landlady ( sorry I'm rubbish with names) was very welcoming a great host, Breakfast was very good even my hubby's vegetarian, The room was spotless and very cosy & warm, All in all a lovely place to stay, had everything we needed for the couple of days we were there. Nothing was to much trouble 10/10 from us.X

Lovely clean apartment very comfortable with fantastic view
The sea front offers an excellent walk or cycle ride.
The sea front offers an excellent walk or cycle ride. There were some good ice cream shops. Pier book shop is an Aladins cave. It was great to just sit and watch the sun set, and to do some star gazing on a clear night. There were plenty of places to eat.

A seemingly friendly place, where I felt reasonably safe.
A seemingly friendly place, where I felt reasonably safe. Saw some stunning sunsets across the bay! Would have enjoyed more coastal walks, but the weather was not the best to start with. Summer returned for the last 3 days, however, which made it all the more enjoyable. I needed to use the local library, during my stay, and I have to say the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The indoor market was really good, the stall holders were very friendly, we walked along the sea front to the clock tower and into town. Morecambe like all towns has its fair share of empty shops but overall the atmosphere was good. Happy Mount Park was beautiful. Views across the bay were stunning.
One thing I would say is take advantage of the trains, regular service to Lancaster and then loads of options. We went to Windermere one day and up the west coast the next. Really enjoyed it.

A bit run down in places but made up for by the location.
A bit run down in places but made up for by the location. Long and wide promenade great for walking and cycling with superb views across Morecambe Bay to the Lake District. Downside was busy coast road running behind promenade. Found great food and service at the Bow Window Cafe. Recommend a visit to Happy Mount Park at top end of promenade. Good variety of activities for all ages and pleasant walks.

Was 10 years since I last visited Morecambe.
Was 10 years since I last visited Morecambe. The place has deteriorated tremendously in that time. Definitely not as I remember it. The town is like most towns. Charity Shops, Bookies. Coffee & ice cream places. Parking is worth mentioning. Whether it's 1,2,3 or 12hrs, there's no escaping paying for it. Couldn't find anywhere for 24hrs... there's nothing there to entice you to Morecambe...although The Old Pier Bookshop is well worth a visit for all 2nd hand book lovers.

Beautiful place.
Beautiful place. No airs or graces, just a spectacularly nice two-mile promenade with a massive tidal beach and wonderful views of cumbria. And really friendly people everywhere. The town behind the promenade looks a little run-down, but I don't understand why there are so few visitors.

The hotel is nice if somewhat dated, a certain amount of faded glory. We had a nice weekend here, helped by fantastic weather and being directly on the beach. The staff were helpful and friendly, if a little thin on the ground. The breakfast was good and reasonably priced. Location is great for Morecambe, just down the prom from the train station and central beach area but quiet enough for families.
Sea view of the Cumbrian mountain range was fabulous. Grange over sands you can see clearly. Beaches at Morecambe bay are sandy and great for dog walking. Hotel food was divine. Bedroom was five star with shower very modern. Owners were really friendly and welcoming. I had a really great experience.
Lovely little place to stay!
The rooms were immaculate and spacious and we had a great view of Morecambe Bay.
Although some rooms were still being renovated, this did not affect our stay.
The hotel is in a great location and the staff were welcoming on arrival and throughout.
We had a lovely stay at the sanderling, The hotel was clean and modern and the owner was helpful and very pleasant, we couldn't fault the breakfast at all well cooked and plentiful, it's also in a good position for all the amenities in morecambe, Definitely recommend x
