36 TheMall, hotel in Montrose

Offering a garden and garden view, 36 TheMall is set in Montrose, 2.1 km from Montrose Beach and 9.4 km from Lunan Bay.

36 the Mall is a great B&B. It has a good location in a quiet road just off the main street. It's a large and attractive house which is nicely decorated. I was warmly welcomed by Ailsa who is very friendly and helpful and shown to my clean, quiet and comfortable twin room overlooking the extensive back garden. I was able to store my cycle securely in the garage in the garden and it was easy to walk into town and to nearby pubs and restaurants in a few minutes. Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of tasty and healthy choices which set up me up nicely for my ride to Perth.

Montrose is an easy place to walk around. Worth visiting the beach, nice walking path. A great eating place not far from the beach and not too expensive and quite classy as well. It was definitely worth making a booking, which we did. on our host's recommendation.

Montrose is a most acceptable town which has many well kept open spaces. The architecture is of interest too. Very easy to get to the countryside and the Montrose basin is something very special from a point of view of wildlife and scenic splendour. The town is easy to get to from the majority of Scottish cities as well as trains from the South also. The hotel has a very good restaurant, the food, as well as being delicious, was plentiful.

Montrose is generally an expensive area for accommodation, so the Park Hotel is relatively competitive for the area. Comfortable well sized clean accommodation and a really good breakfast. Staff are always polite, courteous and helpful.
