This was one of the most prettiest rooms I have stayed in. Extremely comfortable and worth every penny. I had not realised that there was an equestrian centre onside and that I vould have taken some riding lessons. The establishment is just a two minute walk to the restaurant of ' The inn on the Loch' where we had the most fantastic value Scottish meal that we have had in our trip around Scotland. What a great find this B &B and the restaurant deserved a 10 out of 10 as well. Will return here again to both these places. The staff were exceptional.

Of course tha property is amazing, slept like a baby after a stressful day. But the owner just made this one of the top places to stay. So helpful, kind and takes such pride in making sure her guests are looked after. Can no thank them enough.

Interesting historical market town, with link to William Wallace and a tremendous local children's hone in Smyllum. It was a joy to relive such happy memories. I will be back for Lanimar Day in June next year, and maybe stay long enough to rake horse riding lessons.

Waterhouse Apartment 8 was extremely large and airy - great for 4 people. Huge living/dining room. Enormous master bedroom with en-suite.
As the apartment was first in the row of apartments it had lovely light from the gable and river side windows.

The public areas (lobby, bar, restaurant) were great, but the room (Clyde Suite) was well overpriced for the levels of equipment, type of furniture etc.
The bed and chairs were ok, but the other furniture was like 1980's Argos melamine covered chipboard. The fridge from our suite was 'missing'.
The toilet was cracked, and the a plastic shower over bath was a long way short of the Premier Inn quality we stayed in Penrith on our way up.
Your first interaction of the room is where you put the card to activate the lights etc. This was worn out and dirty, the decoration was tired and shabby. Pretty disappointing considering the cost and the amazing surroundings.

We are Lanarkian so we were home for Lanimer week! Always fun, and our stay at New Lanark Waterhouses is always special because the village is stunning to look at, and a fantastic area for wildlife and hiking. Don’t forget to explore the gardens at Castlebank and stroll around the Loch!

Great walks near the hotel on the nature trail - stunning views of the waterfalls! The town itself is beautiful with lots of history, and our room had a great view of the water. Loved the room, it was huge and really comfy. Will definitely be coming back.
Fantastic walks round the old race course, and loch.
Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The lady owner very kindly gave us a lift to our next hotel.
Hoping to return with my grandaughter, as she would love looking at the horses.
The backdrop was first class. The surrounding area was meticulously kept. The hotel itself couldn't fault it at all, Modern looking and the staff throughout couldn't fault a thing. All young but their attitude and friendliness are spot on.
The location on the Hertiage site of New Lanark, a restored historic textile mill was incredibly interesting.
The Waterhouse we stayed in was right on the bank of the Clyde with views of the river from both the living room and bedroom.
Excellent breakfast. Friendly engaged host. Quiet location but close enough to Lanark for exploring. Excellent host recommendation for evening meal that we were very pleased with.
Location to the surrounding countryside was excellent, as a native Lanarkian having a visit home, it was priceless. Nice to visit with the horses living at the farm
