The Corrie Hotel, hotel in Lamlash

Located in Corrie and with Brodick Castle, Garden and Country Park reachable within 6.5 km, The Corrie Hotel provides a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a bar.

Our third visit and again it didn't disappoint. Great friendly staff offering excellent service, accommodation, and food. Set along the coast from Brodick and a great base for all travellers, whether in a car, on foot, or a bike. Dog friendly, too, with a fantastic bear garden. I would highly recommend it. The owners are on an improvement journey, and during the last twelve months, they have replaced all the windows and erected a grand fence around the beer garden - A credit to their commitment which is still ongoing with more to come 👏

The Best Moments Start Here, hotel in Lamlash

Featuring mountain views, The Best Moments Start Here provides accommodation with free bikes, a garden and a terrace, around 9.2 km from Brodick Castle, Garden and Country Park.

This is one of the more secure dog friendly holiday rentals I've been to. Mostly fenced and any unfenced parts separated from road by burn and quite steep embankment on roadside. Loved disconnecting from Internet and TV for a couple of days and the proximity to Glen Sannox and path to Sannox Bay right across the road. Cabin was well equipped and would have loved to make better use of the great decking area with BBQ, fire pit and hot tub (all without worrying about the dog wandering off!) however midges and weather got the better of us at times. Hope to return!

Lochranza Youth Hostel, hotel in Lamlash

Set on the banks of Loch Ranza, opposite a 16th-century ruined castle, Lochranza Youth Hostel is located on the Cock of Arran trail, which provides a scenic low level trek.

The youth hostel is in a fantastic location. Parking was easy. The lady on duty was lovely. It had everything you need and it was clean. It’s a great youth hostel and has everything runs well. We appreciated being able to have our dogs there too and it was nice to have outdoor seating. The sunset over the castle with two stags in front of it was the icing on the cake!

Very quaint small town, not crowded.

Very quaint small town, not crowded. Not a lot of choice for places to eat, or grocery stores, but sufficient enough. The natural beauty of the area and lack of crowds more than makes up for any shortfalls, and with an easy and short bus ride over to Brodick, your choices double with more restaurants and things to do, though a little more crowded than Lamlash. Be prepared to do a bit of walking to get anywhere in Lamlash, particularly if you stay at someplace like the Arran Sleep huts, as they are nearly at the far end of the town, and are about 10 minutes to the nearest bus stop for Brodick.

Lamlash, although a small village had stunning views to Holy Isle, a small supermarket, a couple of pubs serving food, (The Drift Inn), good bus service connecting to Brodick as well as option to travel to the Holy Isle by boat. The Coast Discovery Centre is free to visit and the Arran Coastal path passes through either to Whiting Bay or to Brodick.

Lamlash is the prettiest village on Arran, with the most beautiful views. There are charming art & craft shops, lovely cafes with home baking and the ferry over to Holy Isle goes from the pier. The Lamlash Bay hotel serve delicious evening meals. There are other bars & restaurants as an alternative. Buses go through the village in either direction, so it's easy to get around the island from here (get a timetable).

Lamlash is a lovely village - 10mn bus from Brodick/ferry terminal - with some nice little shops and beaches from where you can admire the Holy Isle and also some seals who seem to love the area! Few restaurants and a Co-op (supermarket) and the people there are very welcoming.

The cottage was cosy and clean. The view of the sea was perfect! The location was ok, a bit farther than I imagined, approx. 20 minutes by feet from the closest bus stop. Poorly lightened path to the hotel, though. The bathroom was very nice, small but clean and well furnished. The beds were super comfy! TV was working perfectly (maybe a bit small but that's not a big minus). The communal kitchen was very modern, clean, and well-furnished.
