Lochanside, hotel in Dunvegan

Situated in Struan, within 15 km of Dunvegan Castle, Lochanside is an accommodation offering sea views. This beachfront property offers access to free WiFi and free private parking.

We had a wonderful stay at Lochanside. The scenery is beautiful, and the surroundings are incredibly peaceful, making it a perfect place to relax. Mark and Ann were incredibly thoughtful, providing fresh bread, milk, and even whisky upon our arrival, which made us feel very welcome. Although we were staying in the same house as them, we had a separate entrance, so we had complete privacy. The double bed was very soft and comfortable, and the kitchen was spotless and fully equipped with everything we needed for cooking. I was especially delighted to find a moka pot when I thought we’d only have instant coffee. The living room was cozy and made us feel right at home. A special thanks to Ann, who came out to greet us when we arrived and also when we left, giving us a warm welcome, explaining the facilities, and ensuring we were safe during our stay. We absolutely loved this place and would highly recommend it!

Skeabost House Hotel, hotel in Dunvegan

If you are looking for luxury accommodation with great Highland Hospitality in Skye, then look no further than historic Skeabost House Hotel, a family owned boutique hotel, part of the Sonas Hotel...

Beautiful hotel. Plenty of room for parking. Staff was very friendly. Assisted us with our bags to our room. Dinner was amazing, with great views. Breakfast was served in a separate room. Lots of options. Cold and hot items to choose from. Also, the perk for us is we were away from the crazy traffic/town. But this hotel was about 15 minutes away from Portree. So you are close to gift shops, Boots Pharmacy, and restaurants if needed. In Portree you will have to pay to park. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to family and friends.

Dunvegan Castle and Garden is a must-visit.

Dunvegan Castle and Garden is a must-visit. Very little traffic and easy to get around. Distances are deceiving because of the narrow windy roads - passing places are an experience! We had a great lunch at The Three Chimneys just outside Duvegan

Surprisingly little there, used as a base for 3 nights, should really have done for 2. Dunvegan Castle nearby and worth a visit. Limited places to eat. Had to drive to get to anywhere including start of walks.

Wonderful little town with so many gems if you take the time to explore! Check out the Angus McCaskill museum for some quirky entertainment; the School House for a wonderful, hearty meal; Dunvegan Castle for a fantastic history lesson and some great walking paths; Two Churches walk up to the standing stone; and Misty's for a quick bite and some ice cream. Easy-to-walk town with friendly people.

Dunvegan is in a beautiful area of Skye and centrally located with easy access to the Cullins, and Portree. The weather was rainy most of the visit but we still managed to have a wonderful time and see the sights.

Dunvegan is in the North of the island, perfect for visiting Dunvegan castle, the coral beaches, Neist Point light house, carbost and the talisker distillery. Plenty of walks in and around the area. One negative is the state of the roads....beware! Potholes are everywhere

Dunvegan suffering a wee bit like many places from lack of staff making some hotels ,restaurants having to reduce opening hours but dont let that put you off as always somewhere open . It will get better as more tourists arrive ,our trip was very much at the end of a very strange summer season .We have stayed in the area many times and will most certainly return before too long .

The hotel was very pleasant especially the beautiful large room on the first floor, very well maintained. The staff was very nice and friendly and I got all my wishes fulfilled. I had a very, very nice stay of 5 days with a good and very rich breakfast. There are many beautiful sights on Skye, I would have liked to stay longer. Thank you very much. With kind regards, Manuela

This place was incredible. Spotless and the rooms with the fire and laterns, was just so peaceful. Best nights sleep. Even tho it rained we chilled by the fire and played cards and had the best time. Stayed in a few places around Skye but this place made you feel on holiday, city life melted away. We extended our stay and would have stayed longer if we could.
