Really lovely hotel - the room was so nice, and the grounds were lovely for a dog walk. It was fab to be able to bring our dog and feel like she was actually welcome. Every single one of the staff was amazing, and went above and beyond. An excellent hotel. And the food was delicious! All the small details were thought of and couldn’t rate it higher.

The cabin was located on a farm with beautiful surroundings. It is finished to a high standard with a well equipped kitchen including oven, fridge/freezer and dishwasher-had everything we needed for 2 adults/2 kids and a dog. Beds were super comfy and kids loved the bunk beds. Tv was a welcome addition with netflix, disney etc. Outside seating area with equipment for fire (logs supplied). Found a lovely trail walk up around the wooded mountains with a viewpoint at the top. Was well worth the effort up. Great communication from the owner from before we even left. My daughter loved waking up to the horses outside. Very cosy and loved our stay here!

Bed very comfy. Milk, bread, butter and cakes on arrival. Logs for the fire pit. Decent size bathroom for the size. Everything you need to hand. The little Robin also kept us company. Would definitely recommend.

I was only there for a few days and Dolgellau is a beautiful little place with everything that you need. I have stayed in the centre before but was staying just outside this time but I find it useful as they have plenty of eateries if you want or there is a couple of "Spar" supermarkets to enable you to get your snacks for the day.

Dolgellau is a lovely, pretty, friendly Welsh town.
Dolgellau is a lovely, pretty, friendly Welsh town. Set in a backdrop of mountains. Lots walking to do. Great pubs, restaurants and cafes. You can walk along the Afon Mawddach Estuary to Barmouth. The Alzheimers Society chose this area to stage Trek 26. I definitely recommend this Trek too.

Not much to the town in the way of variety for the shopper.
Not much to the town in the way of variety for the shopper. Lots however if you like cakes and pastries. There are some charismatic and traditional pubs and some amazing food to be had too. It's a quaint place to go for a relaxing couple of nights away.

Dolgellau is a rather deprived town which doesn't lend itself to tourism. Having said that it's a good base for exploring the wonderful surrounding countryside. The eateries in the town were ok but nothing special.
The main store was a Co-op which was well stocked.

There are plenty of bistros and pubs in the town.
There are plenty of bistros and pubs in the town. We ate in the Torrent Walk hotel and the food was beautiful and plentiful. There was live music over the weekend in the town which was a great addition.
There are lots of country walks and a short drive to the beach at Barmouth.

Jane made our stay so very special and welcoming and always in contact to ensure we had everything we needed. Thank you Jane !
Had the hotel to ourselves as no other hotel guests booked in.
Location fab, lovely pub/restaurant/hotel.
Clean and tidy and very welcoming, friendly staff.
Breakfast was amazing.
Didn't eat in the evening as the one veggie option wasn't to our 5aste but they did offer to be flexible and offered us two other dishes but we decided to explore Dolgellau for a change. Have been to the curry night before...excellent definitely stay again.
The staff, the food, the comfort was all outstanding. I have no doubt that the owners will manage to fix this hotel as the first 6star accommodation in Wales. I can not fault their devotion to this aim.
spacious room, comfortable bed and sofa, large tv, good Wi-Fi signal, breakfast in the bedroom, hottest hot water in north wales, views over Cader Idris, peaceful morning.
