Received a wonderful warm welcome from the lovely staff at Gadlys. Delicious breakfast with an excellent, varied choice and incredible view across to the bay. Staff were friendly, helpful and provided great customer service. Evening meal was fabulous and the fact the restaurant was busy in mid January speaks volumes about just how good the food is! It was also fully booked for Sunday lunch. The staff went above and beyond for us, and we couldn’t have asked for more. We’d love to go back :)
Set in Amlwch, 44 km from Snowdon Mountain Railway, Dinorben Arms Hotel offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant.
We loved the scenery, and the walks. The Community Shop is always worth a visit. The village-centre has had a welcome face-lift since we last visited.
The Harbour Inn serves good food, and plenty of it, but the staff need to know more about what they are doing; they don't appear knowledgeable or well-trained. Greater attention to detail would be good. Serving stone-cold custard with a hot pudding doesn't work! On October 19 (Saturday), only three desserts, all cake, were on offer, and there weren't any 75 cl bottles of wine available.

There was a pretty high street with colourful cottages. There was a pharmacy and a little supermarket.
There were a couple of pubs that looked ok.
Nice people.
Only our flat was a huge disappointment.

A lovely part of the Island.
A lovely part of the Island. One of the nicest beaches with lots of amenities. The town has pubs, shops and a chippy. The beach has plenty of parking with a secondary parking area and the other end of the beach. There is a cafe and toilet in the main parking area. There is also a lovely arts and craft shop that also has a pre loved section.
Most areas of the Island are less than 30 minutes away.

On arrival it looked shabby and run down.
On arrival it looked shabby and run down. When we entered the building it was just as bad, lots of maintenance attention required desperately. The place was friendly enough but not very clean. The room was poor and in need of update. Only two plug sockets in the room and not hear the bed. The furniture was mis-matched and in a sorry state. The bathroom was OK but the floor was dirty and the sink light didn't work.
Our evening meal was lovely but same couldn't be said about breakfast. That was all cold, so didn't eat that and the order was wrong! The juice was served in a dirty glass and the tables hadn't been cleaned down from previous guest. We only had one night there but downstairs was noisy and someone decided to play knock a door run which was annoying when you're trying to sleep before a long journey the next day. All in all, I don't think we will be staying there again. It needs desperate investment.

Breakfast was excellent, whilst they were painting the tables outside, the rooms had new doors, what looked like new carpet in the hall and stairs leading to the bedroom, the shower and bathroom were spotlessly clean, the bed room went out onto a small balcony over looking the harbour ( see photo) we got up late but still got breakfast gone 9.30am and there wernt in a rush for us to vacant the double and single bed room! Wood we visit the same hotel ? Certainly !
Breakfast was brilliant, eggs, milk, bread and all different cereals, location was also brilliant close Cemaes bay, lovely walks and beautiful beaches, nothing to fault. Take me to Anglesey any day, even in the winter. Beats waiting in queues at the airports, and getting your luggage lost. If everyone stopped going abroad and supported the travel industry in the U.K. the world would be a better place for everyone!!!!!
We liked the location, a nice little walk to the wonderful Cemaes Bay High Street. The neighbours were friendly. The house was nice, large rooms. The water pressure shower wise was excellent. We were warned that the side gate had come off. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment. There is a drive. When you are packing a car ahead of a massive storm , that is amazingly convenient.
Lovely hotel very pleasant and helpful staff room comfortable and clean 10 minutes walk to the beach and small town food really good enjoyed evening meal and breakfast 😊
