My only minor complaint is that the room smelled musty, but it was clean. It needed airing. The bed was comfortable, the shower good. There was no desk in the room so unable to use my laptop which was not a huge problem TBH. The menu was very good and an excellent wine list. Service was spot on. Breakfast was really good. No real complaints apart from the above.

Britain’s 4th most popular visitor destination, Bristol boasts Brunel’s magnificent Clifton Suspension Bridge spanning the River Avon. More Brunel handiwork is in the harbour where his SS Great Britain steamship is moored. Pirate walks here detail the city’s underground naval history.
Further north in Clifton is the world’s oldest zoo outside a capital city. Other Bristol attractions include At-Bristol Museum and the Grade I-listed Corn Exchange with its 4 "nails" outside where money changed hands. Also worth a visit is St Nicholas Market, in a Georgian square home to several bars and a Slow Food Market on the 1st Sunday of every month. Other Bristol shopping options include shopping centres at Cabot Circus, and Cribbs Causeway on the outskirts.
As a student city, Bristol really comes to life after dark. The live music scene here is fantastic and has given way to several internationally known bands, but for something more alternative head to Eastside.
Another option for alternative-seekers is the work of hometown street artists Banksy. Just like Booking.com’s Bristol accommodation, his work is spread throughout this fabulous city.
This Gateway to the West Country is served by Bristol Airport and Temple Meads train station. The old Bristol to Bath railway line is now a cycle route and makes a great day trip.
Lovely city to walk around. Very pleasant people we spoke to. SS Great Britain is a fabulous attraction and the M shed museum was very informative. Good walks along the waterfront but wrap up warm! Had a very good meal in Rosa's Thai

It's a busy university city.
It's a busy university city. Diverse cultures make for delicious dining options. Our favourite place was Caribbean Croft which has an amazing rum selection with knowledgeable staff. We were self-catering and there are several supermarkets in and around the city.
For drinks, we liked the craft beer venues of which there are few.
Clifton has a charm all of its own and you must see the bridge.
We planned the weekend around a visit to Chilli Farm in Upton Cheyney, a few miles outside the city.
If you have a car be aware of the congestion charges. The buses are frequent and reliable.

I used to live in Bristol a decade ago and it was a good city then, but now it's great! It has a young, fun and very exciting vibe, lots of cool coffee venues, breweries, bars and independent shopping. Really enjoyed my trip and can't wait to go back.

We came to visit our daughter but we always enjoy coming to Bristol. The artisan shops and mural clad buildings are what makes it different to other cities. Bristol has no shortage of cafes and restaurants selling just about any kind of food.

We were pleasantly surprised as we had booked last minute to visit Bristol for a bank holiday weekend. Hotel prices were high, however we were pleasantly surprised and appreciative to have been moved to a higher floor in the hotel than we thought we had booked. Bristol city centre is a lively place day and night and we really appreciated to be higher above the city centre hubbub. The hotel staff on check in and check out were professional and friendly.
Room was small, but we expected that. Very clean and serviced every day so no problems at all. Breakfast was good with a varied choice and very appetising . location is superb, a short walk through the park to Clifton centre and a bus stop opposite to take you to Bristol city centre. Couldn’t have been better. Clifton is lovely with boutiques, bars, restaurants and near the suspension bridge - what’s not to like
Really nice modern hotel with pretty decor and nice bedrooms. Exceptionally clean and excellent value for money. Short walk to the city centre, great location! Couldn’t recommend more for a weekend stay in Bristol.
