Known for colourful nightlife and traditional English seaside pursuits, Brighton and neighbour Hove are the closest beach resorts to London, making them popular end points for classic car runs from the capital. Many end at the racecourse, a few streets from Brighton Marina, Europe’s largest, housing several shops and eateries. Many Brighton guest houses on Booking.com are also nearby.
Running along the beachfront is the world’s oldest operating electric railway, ending by Brighton Pier. Lit up at night and also known as Palace Pier, this city icon houses amusements and rides, and is one place to pick up some famous Brighton Rock, the confectionery sharing its name with an edgy Graham Greene novel set here.
A new addition, the Brighton Wheel is right by the pier, while one of its most famous attractions is the Royal Pavilion, a former royal retreat built in Indian style.
Just west are 2 of the most popular Brighton shopping spots – Churchill Square shopping centre and The Lanes with its narrow streets and unusual shops. This area also has several Brighton hotels with parking, and the Artists Quarter, a series of ex-fishing huts that are now galleries. The arts are a big thing here and Brighton Festival is the UK’s 2nd largest arts festival, while Brighton Pride is also a big event on the annual calendar.

Brighton is a very beautiful city, especially if you love the coast. It is undoubtedly one of the best cities to visit in the UK. I consider it the coolest city and the best place to live in England.
Brighton offers a high quality of life, with it’s blend of city living and seaside relaxation. Housing is pricey, especially in popular areas like The Lanes or Hove. The city is well-connected by public transport, with regular trains to London. Brighton's inclusive and diverse community is particularly welcoming to everyone and makes it such a great place to settle.

I live in Hove so I generally like Brighton and Hove.
I live in Hove so I generally like Brighton and Hove. Hove is v quiet compared to Brighton and I have no qualms walking around Hove late into the evening. I would avoid Brighton on a Friday or Saturday night but I am a pensioner. Too many drunks and drugged up people for the elderly to feel safe. Otherwise Brighton is pleasant enough, reasonable shopping and good for people watching. All life can be seen here.

The hotel is very convenient for the town. We went to a show at the Brighton Centre which was a very short walk from the hotel. Town has everything you want, coffee shops, restaurants and many many shops. The Lanes are definitely worth a visit too.

Have been a visitor to Brighton for many years, from childhood holidays right up to recent times. Always something to see and do. The history of the place is endless and fascinating. Transport connections to other South Coast locations both to the west and east are excellent and of course an easy trip from London.

Fantastic location for the price, right in the centre of Brighton and close to The Lanes. 10 mins walk from the station and everything else on the doorstep. Quiet, central position without being on the noisy front. It's small boutique hotel with friendly staff not like some of the massive hotels on the front with hundreds of rooms. Had the dinner and breakfast package and can't complain.
We needed 3 single beds in same room which isn’t easy to find.
Location was away from the centre of Brighton - Hove beach was quiet compared to Brighton beach which was packed.
The hotel doesn’t do breakfast but there are great places to eat nearby. The other meals at the hotel were great.
Amazing location we were near everything we wanted in brighton and so close to the beach just a minutes walk! The flats lovely, arcade machine was great fun all the old classics. Had the best night
The location is great - as it’s right near the pier and you can easily walk to everywhere in Brighton. The hotel has a great lobby area and the breakfast was good.
