Lovely staff very friendly and very helpful, the room was excellent a good size and very clean. Breakfast was lovely a great choice of meals and very friendly staff. Only stayed for one evening meal it did take a little long to get to us but the restaurant was jam packed and the meal itself was very well presented and tasted great

Lovely clean, comfortable room. Shared bathroom but all guests were aware of others so kept it clean. Separate ladies toilet. Large shared fully equipped kitchen with fridge space, dining table and television.
Gary and his staff were super friendly and helpful. Bunk house is above the well stocked pub and although you could hear murmurs from below, it didn't affect our stay. We had food and it was lovely. I recommend the chicken burger. There is no parking at the pub but for a donation you can stay in the chapel car park 2 mins walk away. Perfect location for visiting North Wales.

I didn't like anything about this place, as a matter of fact we couldn't get out of there quick enough.
The things we didn't like would be too much for a small survey. I could never ever recommend anybody to stay there as a matter of fact people should be warned away from there.

Betws-y-coed is a beautiful area. so many places you can go from here. I stayed as I was hiking but enjoyed sitting by the river and doing the local walks which are signposted.
It is a small place but easy to get to other areas and the mountains are on your doorstep
Had a great meal at the Royal Oak as they catered well for Vegans. I didn't consider it overpriced either.

Betws-y-coed is a renowned and often-visited location in Snowdonia, perfectly suited for famililies and countryside trekkers alike. Some of the restaurants and hotels may be expensive, but that is a reflection of the location's notoriety. There are, however, budget options for dining and accomodation. Betws-y-coed is well-placed for those who are visiting Snowdonia for hiking, for climbing, or for exploration of the dramatic mountainous countryside. We noticed that a great many other holiday-makers had brought their dogs as well as their children, we therefore assume that a good number of hotels in the area are dog-friendly. Betws-y-coed nightlife consists mainly of alfresco dining and drinking with banter between friends - that is the general impression we have of the nightime atmosphere. We have stayed in Betws-y-coed on three previous ocassions and will do so again.

Betws-y-coed is a really nice place and makes you feel like you really are on holiday. The views are stunning and have a real European feel. The place gets really busy so getting an evening meal can be tricky. Food and drinks are expensive, they are more than London prices. Compared to other places in North wales, Betws-y-coed is head and shoulders above them.

Beautiful scenery and great for walking.
Beautiful scenery and great for walking. Accessed by road and rail, its central location is ideal for visits to Bodnant Gardens and Snowdonia. Relatively easy for keen walkers to reach Fairy Glen and Conwy Falls, as well as Swallow Falls and the Ugly House..
Characterised by substantial stone properties and its riverside location, this is a charming place which can get very busy with hikers and sightseers. It's only a small town, but there are a variety of shops and places to eat - from small cafes to hotel restaurants to suit all pockets, but quality varies. Excellent food is available in the Royal Oak Hotel restaurant.
Golfers are welcome at the flat 9 hole course which has excellent greens and is well maintained.
The location was AMAZING. The dining area and my bedroom overlooked the river. It was peaceful and relaxing.
The food was exceptional. It was Master Class equilvant. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
My dog loved it too. She had her own bed, courstesy of the hotel, and lots of fuss and treats.
Sitting by the open fire after a long day walking was an added treat.
We will return later in the year.
The location of the hotel is very good, the food is very tasty and reasonably priced (although be aware they stop serving food early) The bar and restaurant areas are busy and dog friendly.
