Our family had a short stay in two rooms at Ibis Lucerne.
Great location; walking distance from the train station and plenty of shops and restaurants.
Rooms are not huge, but big enough, and were clean and tidy.
Reception staff were amazing and very helpful at our checkin.

I love Luzern this was the first city in Europe that I visited more than 15 years ago when I was still a teenager and since then I have had a huge affection for Luzern and whenever I can I come here to visit family, friends and the city of Luzern because I love this place and I highly recommend it to everyone.

It is a wonderful city.
It is a wonderful city. People are friendly, the views are awesome, it has beautiful and well preserved buildings, there are very good museums, it is easy to catch all kinds of transports (I traveled by train, boat and bus). The surroundings are amazing for people who like being surrounded by nature. It is excellent both for people with reduced mobility and for people who like sports (hiking, swimming, sailing, paragliding and many more).

The Cable Car ride up to the Pilatus Mountain just above 2000 mts. was the highlight of the trip! Absolutely amazing and we had luck as we could still see the snow. Apparently, it snowed two weeks before we arrived!
Great place to eat was the Irish Pub called the Mr. Pickwick Pub they do a great fish and chips and local bier!
The information City Guide Booklet and Map you receive from the Hotel, makes it easy to get around Lucerne and one great advantage the Buses are free! It lists all the restaurants and events happening!

Lucerne is perhaps Switzerland's most beautiful city with famous covered wooden bridges, a city wall, and a beautiful lake. Mt. Pilatus is an excellent excursion on a clear day and other good hiking locations are nearby. There is an easy to use bus system. A pass was included with the hotel stay.

What a charming town!
What a charming town! The people were kind, and the town was clean. Lots of restaurants to eat at. We went to Mt. Pilatus and the transportation museum. There were other activities we did not get to do that we would have liked to enjoy.
There is a COOP (small grocery store) at the train station where we got some snacks and drinks.
Great location, walkable from Lucerne main station or there is a bus stop nearby. The hotel is new so very clean and facilities are great. Capsules and lockers are spacious and comfortable. There is a common area with water, utensils and microwaves available for use, which is great if you want to buy food from the supermarket and need to heat it up.
Amazing location close to all sightseeing spots.
This was the friendliest hotel we stayed in on our Switzerland trip.
Breakfast was also great, I really liked the coloured boiled eggs.
Before arrival we got tourist cards send to my phone which included free travel by bus/tram around the town and also free wi-fi.
This is arguably the best Hotel location for views - it's up on a hill, you have to get up via an elevator. You can see the entire city, Lake Lucerne and surrounding Mountains. Get the room with Balcony and you will be able to enjoy the best view.
Ambassador Self Check In Hotel was in an excellent location for our stay in Lucerne. Close to all the main attractions and train station. The room was comfortable and serviced each day. The breakfast was excellent. We would recommend.
