There are so many things to do in and around Albany.
There are so many things to do in and around Albany. The guide brochure on local walks lists many and we were only able to fit in three on our stay. You could spend a week just on these if you are a serious hiker. The terrain and scenery that they cover make each one unique. The natural attractions such as Natural Bridge, The Gap and The Blow Hole were all worth a second visit. We were also lucky enough to see whales off the coast from these locations.
There are numerous attractions such as the Historic Whaling Station which requires at least half a day to take in. There are also wineries with nice restaurants for lunch in the district.
The Earl of Spence and the Premier Hotel provided hearty meals during our stay.

Have a lot of beautiful scenery to explore. I should have stayed longer. Maybe next time, the time I went is kinda rush the weather not good which makes it hard to take photos and experience the other places due to rain.

There is a bit of roadworks going on in Albany and unfortunately one wrong turn had me doing a big loop - this looks to be quite temporary however.
There is a lot of history in Albany and so many funky little shops that I didn't get a chance to look at, I will definitely be returning to Albany.
Everything seems fairly central, but the most interesting natural wonders are just a bit out of town, which you will need a car for - The Gap and Natural Bridge, and Cozy Corner.. gorgeous little hidden beach about 20 min out of town. Camping site are also well maintained.

ALBANY is amazing.
ALBANY is amazing. We have visited numerous times over the past 20 yrs but the first cabin No 1 Rose Gardens at Emu Point was awful. We asked to be moved and for an extra fee we were offered much better accommodation which was lovely. The managers were friendly...however not happy that we thought the first cabin was dirty and run down.

Albany has a lot to offer. We enjoyed the town with its
art galleries, woodwork gallery, helpful tourist information office, food and coffee outlets. Visit the Vancouver Arts Centre for interesting installations as well as the historic old hospital building.
The Albany Heritage Park and National Anzac Centre are well worth visiting and revisiting - what a wealth of historical information in an engaging, interactive display! Nearby coastal highlights at Emu Point and The Gap and Natural Bridge are not to be missed. This is an area of stunning natural beauty.
The elegance of the house and the nice little touches which make this house into a home away from home (the Christmas tree was an unexpected bonus). The house is filled with light and access to the outside verandah is available from every room. The views are great and the location is peaceful and tranquil. I started to relax the moment we entered the house. I highly recommend it as the only true luxury accommodation in Albany, and I'm looking forward to my next stay in this wonderful house.
The location is walking distance to the main street, restaurants and foreshore. The Suite is very comfortable for a couple with space to cook, relax and enjoy everything Albany has to offer. The bathroom is spacious and clean, with the added bonus of a washing machine and dryer. This is our third stay in Suite One and it has never disappointed. We met our Host during our most recent stay, which is lovely to put a face to the name. Thank you and we will see you again later in the year.
The hotel was quite central in town with a variety of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a great size, very clean and had a lovely modern bathroom. The bed was super comfortable with plump comfy pillows. Our booking was during the school holidays and they were extremely busy, but they managed to find us a room for an extra night as we had car trouble. I would definitely stay here again.
The apartment is more of a townhouse and as such much larger in some ways. The location was convenient for our needs. In general the facilities were good and there was a full kitchen with all the appliances and a full laundry.
Given Albany is in winter and a major storm impacted the city and surrounds meant that beach activities were not on the agenda. However, I am sure that the local beach and services would be ideal for a summer holiday.
We LOVED our stay at Pelicans. Four nights over the ANZAC day weekend. Albany was super busy and beautiful Middleton Beach was glorious. Our apartment was perfect for the two of us and the bed was so comfy! We did a few hikes over the four days and I can say the comfy bed was very welcoming after Bluff Knoll.
Walking distance to some nice cafes and restaurants/wine bars also. We will definitely be back to Pelicans! Great place to stay.
Located along the Albany Highway and a few mins drive away from the malls. Spacious unit with modern facilities and your own parking garage. Kitchen was fully equipped; washer and dryer came in really handy. On top of it all, Tony was a great guy who came to our rescue and offered us a complimentary breakfast on our last day.
The people working at Six Degrees are all really friendly. Rooms are relatively clean with the exception of stained carpets. Room prices are competitive. The hotel's location is excellent - within walking distance of both the water & the city center. The restaurant/pub downstairs serves good food.
The property is in an excellent location close to Albany town centre. The gardens are pleasant and well kept and there is a laundry that guests can use. The property was originally two historic houses on two blocks and is now a guest house with several units.
Great location and clean comfortable facilities. Loved the spa bath and bed very comfy. Lovely outlook. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay there again on our regular visits to Albany. Our favourite holiday destination down south. :)
Great weather, nice apartament
I was in Albany 4 times it was the best place to holiday great .....great accommodation ,short distance to the beach and restaurants. There is one problem we often go me and my husband. Thank you Caroline.
I loved everything about our self contained apartment and our beautiful hilltop view of some amazing properties. The cafes and hotel at a walking distance and Middleton Beach a stone throw away 🙂 We cannot wait to visit again.
Motel was exactly as expected as have stayed previously. Somewhat dated in areas but again this was my expectation and rooms have everything you could ever need so I'll continue to stay there when in Albany.
Great location - walking distance to Middleton Beach and easy access to other Albany sightseeing. Great property for myself and my dog with a fully enclosed backyard.
Spotlessly clean rooms with great shower! hand location and parking at the door. Reception staff are a credit to the hotel. very helpful and very accomodating
