Unequivocally beautiful serene town with amazing pubs (that are very old). It was also the first planned town in Ireland as well. The people are terrifically too nice (this is first time for me to come to this part of the country - tough competition for other counties in southwest and south). One of the best gastropub food ever - West Bar and Restaurant, twas just delicious and class food for the price and amazing pints of Murphys❣️

The town is so charming and just small enough to walk around in. Plenty of shopping and eateries, just about every type of food you can think of. It was like stepping into a Charles Dickens Novel, so cute and clean.

Westport is a gem of a place.

Westport is a gem of a place. Very well kept, tidy and clean with a lot of original character retained. Yes, it's touristy, but that's understandable given it's location. A lot of 'high end' shops with silly prices to match. Eating out, as in most of Ireland is well overpriced and is not good value. You will have to hunt for a good value evening meal.

Good location. Easy walk to town centre. Parking pass from the hotel for parking on the road. The road is busy, but there's a pelican crossing right outside.
