Beautifully located house in nature. Dublin is an hour away. It is worth increasing the accommodation in the countryside if you do not like the hustle and bustle of the big city. Supermarket and restaurants can be reached in 10 minutes in the next town. Very nice and friendly landlords and a rich kitchen equipment. Very spacious for breakfast and large rooms.

The highlight for us was the old rail greenway.

The highlight for us was the old rail greenway. Local bike hire was great and the ability to ride for miles through the beautiful midlands countryside with no cars was a real treat. Nice sized small town with very friendly people. Belvedere house and gardens was a nice spot for a sunny day but a bit pricey if you have a bigger family. Town itself was easy to explore on foot and the canal side walks were lovely. We only had two days here with one day geared towards cycling the greenway but that is about right.
