Never wanted to leave. Niamh is an amazing host. We even had a Brown Bread (Soda bread) baking lesson.
The cottages are beautiful and if you need a little company the dogs Sky and Storm or cat, Lightning will make themselves at home with you.

Very friendly host, very easy check in experience. It was not even a ten minute walk from the main town. Lovely breakfast the following morning, and when I asked about gluten free options, the owner was very obliging.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Mullingar Park Hotel! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed for comfort.
The hotel’s facilities were outstanding— the leisure center and spa were a highlight, offering a truly relaxing experience. We also enjoyed a fantastic meal at the restaurant; the food was delicious and of top quality.

The highlight for us was the old rail greenway.

Local bike hire was great and the ability to ride for miles through the beautiful midlands countryside with no cars was a real treat.
Nice sized small town with very friendly people.
Belvedere house and gardens was a nice spot for a sunny day but a bit pricey if you have a bigger family.
Town itself was easy to explore on foot and the canal side walks were lovely.
We only had two days here with one day geared towards cycling the greenway but that is about right.

Lovely hotel..had dinner in the bar and the food is delicious.breakfast choice and quality is 5 * i havent seen this anywhere in ireland in years excellent choice hot tasty. Good service 😋 nice friendly staff in every department especially housekeeping and breakfast rooms.
