The breakfast was superb. Quality,variety,presentation and breakfast room were excellent. The host created a welcoming, tranquil setting to begin a day. Beds were extremely comfortable and all of the extra touches for adapter availability, offering tea or coffee when we returned from our adventures and providing valuable information for routes and suggested day trips. A consummate host!

Drogheda is much bigger than I expected. It’s very spread out and was quite congested with traffic when I was there so maybe a little difficult for driving if unfamiliar with the area. It is a very old town with lots of history and old buildings and has short distances to nearby beauty spots. Would need to spend a few days there to appreciate its character.

Booking & check in were easy & efficient. The room & breakfast were excellent, Hotel nicely situated & grounds very pleasant. Didn't go to Laytown beach but did go to Bettystown beach which was very nice. Staff were friendly & helpful. All in all a very good stay.

I grew up in Drogheda for over 18 years so naturally i am totally biased as this is a very historic town and the river Boyne has been within reach since childhood with places like Baltray, Terminfechin and Clougherhead memorable haunts.
The reason for staying at the D was convenient for all of my family members to visit. My usual place to sstay when "HOME" is with my sister but unfortunately she can no longer drive.
This is such a quaint place to stay albeit the bedrooms are small the rest of the hotel is very special.
Every member of staff we encountered were so pleasant and friendly and very accommodating to our needs.
The hotel was very festive and welcoming and I wouldn't hesitate recommending to stay here...in fact it was my own brother's recommendation that made me book it this time!
We're just humble travelers, and we recently had a little trip to Drogheda. We were quite satisfied with our room, and the common kitchen and bathroom had good conditions. We really enjoyed our stay at Spoon and the Stars Hostel, and we highly recommend it to future guests.
Where the hotel it situated idea for the town & a lovely pub, The Black Bull for food.
