Terrible breakfast- tastes like rubber. There was much care and attention as a dog taking a steamy shite on a cold frosty morning

The breakfast was excellent, with a very wide choice, including cooked, cereals including porridge (a huge bowl!), white or wholemeal toast. Also soda bread, jam, muffins (plain or blueberry) - all home made by Seamus. Hospitality was second to none. Seamus couldn't do enough for us, including information, booking a taxi etc. Room had two double wardrobes with hangers, and dressing gowns provided.
The location in Bryanstown is residential and very quiet, with quick bus or taxi transport into the centre of Drogheda.

It's basic, but clean, and is close to the town centre. The bed is comfortable. The shared kitchen and bathroom are adequate. Staff are friendly and responsive to enquiries. A burned-out light bulb was fixed the same day.
Drogheda is much bigger than I expected. It’s very spread out and was quite congested with traffic when I was there so maybe a little difficult for driving if unfamiliar with the area. It is a very old town with lots of history and old buildings and has short distances to nearby beauty spots. Would need to spend a few days there to appreciate its character.

I grew up in Drogheda for over 18 years so naturally i am totally biased as this is a very historic town and the river Boyne has been within reach since childhood with places like Baltray, Terminfechin and Clougherhead memorable haunts.
The reason for staying at the D was convenient for all of my family members to visit. My usual place to sstay when "HOME" is with my sister but unfortunately she can no longer drive.

Went from Cork up to Drogheda for a funeral, so not in great form. Greeted by very professional staff who explained how their keyless system worked. Ate dinner on site, and that too was great. Very friendly and welcoming staff throughout. Room was great, en suite with 6 beds! 3 x bunk style but very comfortable indeed. Only 2 of us and we both slept soundly - no noise. Even the traffic the next morning didn't bother us,as the room was well sound proofed.
Excellent service. Lovely friendly staff. Great food. Lovely clean comfortable room. The room was freshly decorated to a lovely modern decor. The hotel is in a great location, close to drogheda town and to the beaches.
