Lough Eske Castle, hotel in Donegal

Set within 43 acres of forest at the foot of the mountains, this stunning castle boasts huge rooms with 32-inch flat-screen TVs. The 5-star hotel offers a luxurious spa within its beautiful gardens.

The gardens and grounds were beautiful, our room was spacious in a 400yr old stone stable. Bathroom was luxe. All the staff were so kind and the included breakfast was incredible with a la carte and buffet included. We also enjoyed a lovely spa massage and the jacuzzi area as well as the free pool,

Donegal was a very serene environment for us, we totally enjoyed being there. Away from the hustling of city life. We walked everywhere to pick up groceries and even to the Donegal castle just a few blocks away from our accommodation We had a cruise on the Donegal bay boat, and we also visited Fanad head lighthouse. Totally fabulous experiences. The kids loved these

Donegal is a beautiful area, rugged and less crowded in April. Would highly recommend this area, particularly to people who like walking/hiking opportunities. Slieve League is a must and Glenveagh castle and gardens, which are open, are charming. Other attractions in the area are worth a visit.

Amazing little town, nestled in the mountains on the banks of a v fast flowing river. Staff were ever so helpful, nothing was a problem. It was a v pleasant surprise to have access to the swimming pool next door. The castle across the street is v interesting and free to enter. We loved energy thing about this hotel and the live traditional music at night made for a very relaxing stay. Definitely recommend a visit😁

I loved the hotel, the room was very clean and spacious. It was in a good location in the middle of Donegal town with lots of shops, restaurants etc within walking distance. We stayed here because we were attending a wedding in the locality, we found the barmen and restaurant staff very helpful and friendly.
